Satan temps us and he is called the tempter. He is called the source of all temptation, and he only succeeds because we let him. We let him succeed because of our weakness.
This is one reason Why we need Jesus. Only He can forgive us when we sin, and only He can give us strength to resist the temptations of Satan.
Yeah, but what if Jesus was actually Satan? Dosen't that make sense? He has over a third of mankind convinced that he's God and completely good despite all the evidence on the contrary. And yet also claims he's the only who can resist Satan who is himself.
Let's see:
Was born after his mother was visited by a fallen angel.
Broke several commandments and commanded others to do so; something expressively forbidden in Judaism (Psalm 19:7)
Claimed to be God and made grandiose claims about ruling the universe and having power over the souls of all mankind.
Rose from the dead after sustaining a mortal wound.
Displayed evil supernatural powers over nature, death and demonic forces.
Claimed to ascend to Heaven to share the throne of God, something Lucifer desired.
Deceived billions throughout history in thinking he was the Jewish messiah and the Son of Yahweh, despite having failed to fulfill a single prophecy concerning the messiah, and there being no mention of Yahweh having offspring; a blasphemous thought in Monotheistic Judaism.
Promises to return and kill billions with fire, curses, plagues and natural disasters, accompanied by armies of demons, sparing only those who offer their souls to him. Not to his “Father.” Not to the Lord of Judaism. But only him specifically. Effectively damning their souls in the eyes of God if he’s wrong.
Ushered in a dark age for human civilization that lasted right up until the current era.
His cult of Christianity had nearly destroyed Judaism (God’s chosen people) several times, as well as caused untold numbers of deaths throughout history.
The Devil couldn’t possibly have hoped for a greater successful Antichrist than the one most people think is the actual Christ.
If Satan’s the one you least suspect, then who is the one you would least expect?
"Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence Satan: for it is written, Thou Shalt Worship The Lord Thy God, And Him Only Shalt Thy Serve."
Good advice, Christians! When you are going to follow this? Worship the God that Jesus worshipped, and stop worshipping Jesus as God. That's idolatry!
