This is impossibly stupid. Thousand of insects die every hour on Earth, so why aren't we hip deep in dead bugs? Because birds and other insects eat them, the corpses rot, they get swept up and thrown in the trash by humans or morons like Free Thinker eat them.
Evolution doesn't say anything about how long there have been life. It just says how life adapts to a changing environment through random mutations and natural selection.
Ever hear about decomposition? I'd say that civilization started when we began caring for the dead, so the answer is "simultaneously".
Fossilization is very rare, silly. 99 percent of all species that have ever died are now extinct, but only a few million fossils have been found. Every single fossil is a transitional fossil, stupid.

Most stuff decays and is eaten by other organisms, so it gets recycled, with microscopic bacteria and fungi at the bottom of the food chain. Bacteria exceed the entire mass of plants and animals and as much as a quarter of all life is fungi.
Nothing had what we'd call a "body" of any recognizable size until about a half-billion years ago. In fact, only a very small percentage of the earth's life has a body of any size even today. The total amount of plant life far exceeds that of animals, and we have plenty of oil and coal deposits containing their remains. The only thing that has much chance of still being around is hard stuff like bones and shells, and we have plenty of those. Where do you think the White Cliffs of Dover came from?
Most of the them decay. Others become fossils. Some are compressed into coal, oil, and diamonds. You know the famous White Cliffs of Dover? Millions of dead things that have piled up over millions of years.

dead plants and are eaten by predator , bacteria, worms etc so generally the disappear. even bone will break down over time.
fossils require specific conditions to form. Those conditions are not that common so fossils are somewhat rare.
