I would say a sinning muslim is miles better than a pious kaffir. Cause a muslim knows his Rabb wheras the kaffir denies his Rabb... and the eternal punishment is a testimony to that. A sinning muslim ev3ntually goes paradise. A pious kaffir got what he wanted in this world hence all that is keft is the punishment. Eternal.
Though people, we should all try our best and imitate the best example, SAW

Where have I heard this retoric before? Oh yes, the Evangelical church I attended as a kid. At best, only one of your religions can be right or, more likely, you're both wrong.
And to think the Muslim world was once the height of knowledge. Of course, it was only the pagans, Jews, Christians, and assorted freethinkers within their borders who made that possible, so there's that.

I'd say that there are Muslims who harm others and infringe on their human rights, and there are Muslims who respect other people's rights and refrain from harming them. But this is true for all religions, ideologies, political views, hobbies, nationalities, skin-tones, genders, sexual orientations, sexual identifications, professions, etc. You're just going to have to judge every individual on her/his own merits.
@SpukiKitty : Strictly speaking, that's arguably the same word: Coastal Swahili referred to the pagans of interior as "kaffirs," and the term was picked up in a racial sense by Europeans. Originally regarded as neutral, it subsequently became pejorative in South Africa, although it remains the standard, neutral term for Sri Lankan Kaffirs, a population descended from black Africans brought to Sri Lanka as slaves during the early colonial period.
