If we had people like Duterte in the US, ruling places like Chicago, Detroit, and other crime-ridden hellholes, they'd be better places. The fact known gang members have freedom of assembly and such is nonsense. Gang members are so brazen they go on documentaries and discuss their crimes on TV, and then complain that's used in court. I found it very disturbing that a noted gang leader in my area (goes by Gordo Ramirez) was allowed to go on national TV (History Channel's Gangland) and basically discuss how awesome it was to commit his crimes and somehow not be incarcarated for the rest of his life, when in any sane system, the idiot would be lucky if he spent the rest of his life in prison if not got the death penalty for his activities (which he probably deserves). Fact is, a Duterte in the US would cut crime down so fast it would be a miracle. A shame Black Lives Matter would never allow the campaign that needs to be carried out on urban crooks to happen (whites, blacks, Latinos, and other criminals would all be shot by the dozen, and well-deservedly). And for racial equality, the rural areas of the US are also in need of some Duterte-style anti-crime campaigns with all the drug dealers that operate in rural America selling meth, painkillers, and shit like Xanax that just fucks these parts of the country up. There's a source, and "justice" in the current (false) sense of the term can't handle it. I'm glad the Philippines can get a taste of real justice for once, and I wish the US could get more justice and be more than just a first-world country with third-world parts everywhere you look.
They call Duterte the "Asian Trump", but I could dream Trump would ever execute the same campaigns against the cancers within America.
Duterte, Hitler, maybe not. But Duterte is one of the most interesting third world rulers in a while, and simply because of his sense of justice. Imagine if Chavez or Maduro decided to clamp down on the crime in Venezuela the way Duterte has in his country. Thousands, tens of thousands would die, but those people who will die are killing thousands.
