Makes perfect sense to me. I've always viewed ancient Egypt as being more of a Mediterranean or Southern Levant civilization than as an Arab or black civilization, especially since most of the great monuments and cities in ancient Egypt were located in Lower Egypt (which is actually in the northern half of Egypt because the Nile flows from South to North).
I was also always highly skeptical of the claims made by people like Zahi Hawass that modern Egyptians are the same people that built ancient Egypt. Observing how primitive and backwards modern Egyptians are just doesn't match up with the types of people that would build a civilization that was as sophisticated as ancient Egypt. Likewise, I'm so sick of modern Iraqis trying to lay claim to being the same people that built ancient Mesopotamia.
Arabs are garbage. It makes no sense that they'd erect so many advanced ancient civilizations. It's obvious that the original ancient inhabitants were invaded and mixed out of existence by more primitive people - just like how the modern Turks are also a dysgenic step backwards from the former Anatolian/Byzantine populations that they invaded.
I know that modern Egyptians don't like to think of themselves as being Arabs and I'm aware of the history of 20th century Arab nationalism, but it's so obvious that they are indeed Arabs just by looking at them and observing how they live and govern their societies. It's the same type of ineptitude and corruption that you see across the entire Arab world (with the exception of the oil-rich gulf states that hit the geographic lottery).
It seems like that entire region has served as a kind of arena for the various racial groups in neighboring regions to fight over. The people that dominated those regions during ancient times were probably nothing like the primitive and backwards Arab people that live there now. And no, I'm not saying that they were White, just lighter skinned and more Caucasian in demeanor than modern Arabs. And if modern civilization is anything to go by, then I wouldn't be surprised if the upper classes and ruling elite were especially lighter skinned than the darker populations that they ruled over, which is why the mummies have such unique Caucasian-esque DNA.
And that's also why I wouldn't rule out the presence of blacks in ancient Egypt. They probably served as slaves, just like blacks have been used by everyone who has come in contact with them. If that is indeed the case, then you're obviously not going to find black DNA in mummified ancient Egyptians because the mummies would have been part of the ruling elite.
And just to piss off the "we wuz kangz" types: This is additional proof that lighter-skin people create superior civilizations, and that lighter-skinned people almost always rule over darker-skinned people. These Egyptian mummies definitely weren't as White as the Ptolemaic Greeks and the Romans that ruled Egypt for several centuries, but they probably didn't look like Arabs either. And they certainly weren't negroids.
