That's the problem. There's a surplus of non rational human beings in the country now days that will vote for this fool. This person is not only mentally ill but should be behind bars for his/her/it's treasonous acts.

I always kinda thought Geraldine Ferraro was on the ticket just to use the polls as a survey tool for women voters.
It'll really be exciting, even if she doesn't win, just to see how close she can get. How much she can make the establishment sweat despite the various targets painted on her back...
There have been occasions in the past when openly trans people have run as Democrats, but nearly always lost - they mostly went for low-level, non-competitive positions that no serious Dem would bother with, and would have been an unchallenged Republican win anyway. In the past few years, this has been changing; they've been "allowed" to try for mid-to-high-level competitive seats, and sometimes winning.
Yes, there are people out there who vote for them mostly as a form of "affirmative action" or to balance out the haters rather than any real policy concerns, but this wouldn't make much difference unless the general public really was okay with trans people.
Chris, his name is Arpaio. He is a jackass. As to Chelsea, if not for the Wikileaks issue, as a Maryland native she would have my vote.
Arpaio is a racist and violator of rights, and the fact a president would bow down to this alpha male gorilla is repugnant. But Manning was convicted all the same for leaking, and as unfortunate as it is, as a transgender she will be hated by a lot of people who will take that conviction as confirmation bias. I don't see Manning winning, but I can see Arpaio becoming a senator when odious reprobates like Trump vouch for his terrible record.

Um, she WAS behind bars for her treasonous acts. And while I disagree with Obama commuting her sentence (after all, she did release a lot of classified information, the biggest classified document leak in American history) she did serve time.
