Er, no. Actually, no, it's NOT unthinkable. I would happily report anyone in my family downloading CP. And I live in the UK, which is still a part of Europe as of the time of this writing.

Gary Glitter: and he was reported by a computer engineer at a branch of PC World well over a decade before that investigation by Scotland Yard - post-Jimmy Savile - which resulted in the only way that Glitter will be leaving jail is in a box . And the greatest Hubristic fall of all: Max Clifford. He once had absolute power over the media; he doesn't even have a website to his name now. Indeed, he doesn't have anything to his name now: as late last year he beat Glitter to the race to escape prison: by leaving in a box.
Like that engineer at that branch of PC World, I work at a computer shop. Since that incident in the late 90s which resulted in Glitter's destruction, it's now standard procedure in most such businesses to check the HD of computers brought in for repairs etc.
Fortunately to date, I've never seen any such material on the HDs of the computers I've repaired or upgraded. Members of my family/relatives have brought their computers into the place I work at for repairs.
