I remember seeing Zuckerberg's face for the first time maybe 10 years ago, when he was already a billionaire, and immediately feeling sorry for him.

I was living the most mediocre life, with my mediocre salary, and my mediocre looks, and yet I felt deeply sorry for the guy just because of his face.

I now realise that feeling is innate, and many people in my chaddy North-European country must feel the same way when they see me.

Your face represents who you are. It's your genetic passport, your true identity, your immutable nationality, one that you can't change.

It's the only thing most people need to know about you. They look at you, and in an instant they know where you stand in the universal hierarchy, and how to handle themselves around you.

You can be a billionaire, you can be their boss, you can have unlimited power over them, you can be a marine and learn how to be confident, strong, and capable. Yet none of that matters compared to how people feel when they see your face.
