For those who don't know what DFF and ARD are, DFF was the former East German (= communist) television broadcaster and ARD the (West) German one.

Isn't "working to your death" a big thing in Communism, too? I fact; All that Communist propaganda I've seen has been about "Workers working, work work work"....no fun cuz fun is "bourgeois"....just work.
I agree unfettered Capitalism is bad but a balance of regulated Capitalism and Socialism is best.
There was a reason E. Germans were trying to scale the Berlin Wall, dummy! If E. Germany was so hot, why did a wall have to be built in the first place?
Have you ever heard of "social market economy"? It is a very successful German invention, a compromise between capitalism and socialism. Sure, nowadays it has become somewhat influenced by neoliberal ideas and has been watered down a bit (sadly), but it still provides a successful welfare state and has done so for decades. The GDR on the other hand had all the work related trappings of West Germany in combination with the totalitarianism of the Soviet Union and without a working and reliable welfare state (no matter what its propaganda stated). There was a reason why so many people tried to flee to our side of the wall.
Russia nowadays is more of a near-fascist, near-dictatorship quasi-democracy which is centered more and more around Putin and to a lesser degree his party. And the Sovjet Union was only a worker paradise in its propaganda. You are living in an imaginary world comrade, time to wake up!
