Are demons present in this world? Is the sky blue? It's not a matter of if demons are here, but what they're doing. I, personally, believe that most of the old ancient myths are based either upon a corruption of Biblical events (creation, flood, etc) or they're based upon actual human interaction with demons. This, I believe, would explain a lot of the so called "magic" that is written down in history as well as what goes on today under the same name.
As for feeling when demons are around you, I don't know. I can feel the Holy Spirit, but as far as demons and angels are concerned I've never knowingly dealt with one. My father has, as well as some of the elders of my old church, but not me. Maybe this ability to sense demons and angels is a gift?

Are demons present in this world?
No.
Is the sky blue?
Yes.
Were you expecting the answer to these two questions to be the same for some reason known only to yourself?
"Are demons present in this world?"
No, demons are figments of your imagination.
"Is the sky blue?"
Yes, I thought even you could see that.
"It's not a matter of if demons are here, but what they're doing."
It's a matter of what drugs you are or are not taking, and whether or not you are subject to religion-induced fits of irrationality.
"I, personally, believe that most of the old ancient myths are based either upon a corruption of Biblical events (creation, flood, etc) or they're based upon actual human interaction with demons."
You're absolutely right, except for the fact that none of your assertions is in any way true. Many of the events in the ancient myth stories pre-date the bible's timing of these events. Much of the bible is actually ripped-off from earlier myths.
As demons are fictional, no actual human interaction with demons is possible.
"This, I believe, would explain a lot of the so called "magic" that is written down in history as well as what goes on today under the same name."
Uh huh, or maybe they're just stories, or frauds. Magic today is either of the harmless, amusing Penn & Teller variety, or the money-grubing, Bennie Hinn variety. Either way, no demons are involved.
"As for feeling when demons are around you, I don't know."
"I don't know." Now you're on to something.
"I can feel the Holy Spirit, but as far as demons and angels are concerned I've never knowingly dealt with one."
Good for you. If you can get over that Holty Spirit delusion you'll be well on the way to recovery.
"My father has, as well as some of the elders of my old church, but not me."
Yes, some people have even more serious delusional problems than you.
"Maybe this ability to sense demons and angels is a gift?"
No, believing one senses beings that do not exist is a sign of mental illness. Delusions are most assuredly NOT gifts.
No the sky is not blue. The atmosphere refracts and splits light, it does not reflect it or absord certain wavelengths of light. That's like saying is a clear prism rainbow coloured? If the sky was blue, like a filter, the moon and sun and stars would all appear blue too. (purely red and yellow stars would appear black, slightly yellow stars would appear blue. Pictures from space would also appear blue, even the land "brown and green" bits.)
So, no! No blue sky. No demons.
Oh you're "gifted" alright. Get thee on a "special" bus.
Even the ancient myths that pre date the bible?
Come on, you're giving this one to us on a plate. Look up - yup, blue sky, or one that looks blue, anyway. Look around - hey, still no demons!
This, I believe, would explain a lot of the so called "magic" that is written down in history as well as what goes on today under the same name.
Note to DCShell:
Harry Potter is not a history book.

Thanks for beating me to it!
As for dcshell's idea of demon/human interactions being the cause for the stories of majick, get bent. every society has thought that demons, gods and spirits caused everything from the weather, to harvest potential, sex of the children, volcanoes, floods, earthquakes, etc. So don't you think the idea that primitive man, unable to make sense of mother nature, simply invented invisable creatures and beings to blame/credit? Doesn't that make much more sense than, 'demons didit'?
"I can feel the Holy Spirit"
No, that's just the acid.
"but as far as demons and angels are concerned I've never knowingly dealt with one. My father has, as well as some of the elders of my old church, but not me. Maybe this ability to sense demons and angels is a gift?"
Nice. Only special people can sense them, so basically they can "never" be proven nonexistent?
Confused?
