"Boy oh Boy do I hate Satan.."
Hating that which doesn't exist is futile.
"I hate him because he tries everything in his power to find ways to bring me down and cause division..."
Get a grip, sweety, Satan is imaginary. His only power over you is that which your give him in your own thoughts, just like the boogieman and the monsters under your bed.
"I hate him because he persecutes us.."
No, he deosn't.
BTW, what's with your punctuation? Are you using two-dot ellipses or are you using double periods? Either way, it's silly.
"Satan is nothing but a liar.."
If he is "nothing but a liar," what's your problem? Can't you ignore those who lie to you?
"nothing but a theif.."
What a minute, you just told me Satan was "nothing but a liar." Which is he, "nothing but a liar" or "nothing but a thief?"
If Satan is "nothing but a thief," tell me exactly what Satan stole.
"I hate him so much!!!!"
Oooh, Satan, ick, uck!
"Satan get out of my life..I dont want you here!!!"
Stop thinking about Satan and he'll be gone. Remember, he's fictional, he only lives in your imagination.
"Get out of my home, leave me alone!!!!"
Aggghhhh! Quick, somebody help her. She's being attacked by her imagination. Oh, the humanity...
"I'm a child of God and you cannot have me!!!!!In the name of JEsus flee from me!!!!"
Why are you people so afraid of Satan when you believe you can thwart his every move by speaking the name of Jesus?
Isn't Satan supposedly a child of God, too?
I have never understood why the people who are the most terrified of Satan are also the ones who proclaim most loudly and stubbornly that their God protects them from him. I'd figure that if I were protected by God, I would have no need to fear Satan at all and would be just laughing at his futility, if I even believed in any of this fairy tale at all. This attitude of fear of Satan shows just how little faith in their God these fundies actually have!

You know, my grandmother was a devout Catholic all of her life. She attended Mass daily when possible, she prayed the rosary and she led a good, if unremarkable life. She spoke about God fairly often, especially as we, her grandchildren got older and drifted away from the church, but I never once heard her worry that Satan was after her or that it was because of Satan that something bad happened. I would say she was a fundie Catholic, but she wasn't insane like some of these people are.
Berny: Good point. So they've got to be afraid of both God AND Satan, and of their own sinful nature to boot; no wonder so many nutcases manifest their psychoses in religious details, since religion is nuts to start with!

I don't think it's all that mysterious - the more someone fears Satan, the greater their need to convince themselves that Big Sky Daddy will protect them from him.
He's already doing it by making you terrified of him...
Seriously, if you overeact over him, then he basically wins. Although I'm really just a christian by name (As my mom calls us, "Barely methodist") Even Jesus didn't get all hung cho on him. When Satan, IN THE FLESH, started to try to get him to sin, he's just like, "You know what? I don't care. I'm not going to pride myself and what not, and that's that. Now, shoo. You're getting on my nerves." That wasn't the exact thing, but that was basic point.
If you freak out over him, he'll get power over your whole life. Just ignore him, and he'll go away.

When I first read this, I thought the poster was 7-years old. Now, I consider any parent who would scare their kid enough to make her post this guilty of child abuse. But since a 7-year old really isn't mentally mature enough to be able to think and reason - esp about things their parents force into them - I could excuse this post.
But to find out the poster is 32... I think I am scared now.
In the name of the bible, the christians are #1 at persecuting.
According to the bible, (thier) god has killed hundreds of millions of innocents. The Devil has killed 10 people, who deserved it in the first place.
Atheists aren't offended by gods, they are offended by the death and bigotry that comes with worshipping them.
Meh, just pick up a can of Satan-B-Gon at your local supermarket.
And wear a sign around your neck. That's a very good idea.
I don't care if this lady is 7, 32 or 100. This screed sounds like a 13 year old girl writing in her diary right after the school quarterback (whom she had spent the previous 20 pages describing her undying love for) snubbed her. Seriously, just replace "Satan" with the name of a jock you remember from high school and you can see what I mean.
I suppose it's better to direct all that hatred at someone who doesn't exist rather than someone who does.
You're still an idiot, though.
>> \"I hate him because he tries everything in his power to find ways to bring me down and cause division... \" <<
Division? Pffft! A snap.
I can see hating the s.o.b. that invented algebra. I had to take it 3 times to get a C. Talk about a bring-down.
Confused?
