I'm sure I speak for many Christians when I say: I know the answers; I'm not interested in the truth.

"I know the answers; I'm not interested in the truth."
The problem is they're to the wrong questions.
Personally, I hope you're not a cop, or involved in law enforcement of any kind.
A dictionary should be required reading for fundies. Words like 'logic', 'common sense', 'reason' and 'truth' should be underlined.
They really have no clue what they mean.
Wait, if he has the answers, then surely, by definition, that is what he percieves as the truth. But then he goes on to say he's not interested in the truth. So he can't have the answers. But he thinks he does. So he thinks he has the truth. But he doesn't want the truth. So he can't have the answers...
Shit. Ensnared in a paradox by raving fundamentalism. You win this time, pesky Christians!
As someone who would kill to have a career as a PBS producer, let me say this:
Go watch American Idol. PBS doesn't need your kind of brain-dead, apathetic viewership.
Right back at ya, chipped beef: I speak for many scientists when I say I only care about facts. I'm not interested in the truth which is different from person to person.
(Sorry about the double post.)
I can state that crazy fundie concept in 10 words, Alex:
"I know the answers; I'm not interested in the truth"
"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
- John 8:32 (KJV)
So you're not interested in what Jesus had to say, huh? That seems to be a very common position among True Christians (tm)
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
