to the evolutionist: name one indisputable fact that demands that the universe must be billions of years old. You will find that your view on the age of the world and the universe is not a product of evidense, but simply the result of what you have been taught.

Background microwave radiation from the Big Bang is just one of many verifiable physical pieces of evidence of the age of the universe; the mere ability to see stars and galaxies that are demonstrably billions of light-years distant is another, because it would take those billions of years for the light to reach us.
If you ask me, food4thought here is the one being "evidense."

News flash for dummies: "science" isn't one field, and "scientists" aren't interchangeable. You've gotta go where the experts in each field are.
Evolution is in the biology department. I think you want a cosmologist and a geologist.
Um, Mr/Ms misnamed? We have several ways to prove that, which several posters here have already listed.

That's our line.
And for goodness sake: the theory of evolution isn't a description on the origin of life, it's an explanation of how it develops.
Here's some evidence with very tiny error bars:

but simply the result of what you have been taught.
Is being taught a bad thing?
No honey, it's your religion that's not a product of evidense[sic], but simply the result of what you have been taught.
Besides, in science classes in school, you are taught the products of evidence.
The age of the first life-forms on Earth has recently been pushed back from 2 billion years ago, to almost 3 billion years ago. So the universe must be at least that old.
What does the age of the Universe have to do with biology, btw?
1. Titanic deposits, including sediments formed by countless iterations of cyclical processes, preserving many replacements of ecosystems, very different from both each other and anything that exists today, often changing from terrestial to aquatic and vice versa . Comparison of these formations allows a reconstruction of the entire column.
Oh, and Deep Time predates On The Origin Of Species .
2. Stars existing at every stage of their billions-of-years-long life cycles.r
3. The natural nuclear fission reactor at Oklo. The necessary isotope ratio was only possible approximately 1,7 billion years ago.
And what does the Bible say about Deep Time?
@Psalm 90:4
For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.
Confused?
