I could also add noone can actually prove whether the earth revolves round the sun or the sun revolves round the earth either, which do you believe to be true ?

well... ok, yeah... in the sense that I ALSO can't prove that there isn't a teapot in orbit between earth and mars.
that DOESN'T mean that each option is equally valid.
I doubt that very much, I must say. Like, it's not like there aren't lots of places to varify such things. He must be mental or something or perhaps dropped on his head a lot, It could be any number of reasons. But then again he could just be stupid, some people just are as my uncle jack would often tell me.

Neither is correct, Earth and the Sun rotate around a common point. It just happens to lie inside the Sun's circumference.
But I would never expect a fundie to ever understand that.
Re: Quantum Mechanic
Neither is true. They revolve around their common center of mass. Now die in a fire.
Yes, this guy should clearly die in a fire because he is ignorant of science. That's perfectly reasonable. [/sarcasm]

And I could also add that Dr. Buzz Aldrin - who is a devout Christian - knows that the Earth revolves around the Sun, and has never questioned scientific fact.
If he can reconcile his beliefs with fact as per astronomers - and he is an Astronaut with a unique perspective in the matter, and as a space scientist himself - then enjoy your paradox.
If we're so mistaken about the structure of the solar system, how did we manage to land the rovers on Mars? How did we fly Cassini through the rings of Saturn? How did we manage to land on a comet? What about the satellites monitoring the sun? What about this recent picture of Europa?
Or is everything ever done outside of earth fake? Part of some world-wide conspiracy to mislead humans we're actually doing space science?
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
