Quote# 39281

So what if Einstein was an atheist? No matter how smart you think he is, he is burning in hell now with all the other scientists who think that they are too smart for G-d.

Einstien wasnt atheist, he was raised jewish. then he believed in "spinoza's God" (a fancy way of saying the force of nature) nice christian to want a jew, even an ex jew in hell.

Always with the burning with you people. Is there at least one conversation regarding your religion where you would refrain from sexually gratifying yourself to the idea of people you disagree with being tortured? It would make discussion a whole lot easier. Thanks.

What, you hate vowels now?

Seriously, what's the point of censoring the "o" in "god"?

What's "G-d."?

Yup, that's right. Anyone YOU disagree with burns in hell.

@brianisha:

I think this is in response to a previously unpublished letter that has just been auctioned.

Einstein probably changed his views several times during his lifetime, so some of the quotes may appear deist, some agnostic and some atheist. But argument from authority is a fallacy anyway, so frankly it wouldn't have mattered much if Einstein had put on sackcloth and ashes and crawled on hands and knees from the IAS to the Vatican to beg God's forgiveness.

Yeah, but with all the scientists and equal rights lawyers down there now, I'm sure they have air conditioning by now.

Anyway, I'd rather spend eternity in hell with all the interesting people, rather than all eternity kissing Gods ass.

I'm so evolved and rational I can't even use the word, "God" in a sentence for fear of being struck down and sent to hell.

I really don't think anybody is going to be convinced by your reference to Gid unless you can prove that Gid exists. I mean sure, the Bible is full of things that Gid supposedly did, but the people who saw Gid do them are all dead now. The same applies to his son, Jizz Curst and the Hully Sprrt.

In fact, you could extend this argument to encompass all spiritual beings and figures; the Muslim percerption of Gid, 'La and his prophet Mimmid, the three better-known Hindu Gids, Brrma, Vshnoo, and Shhhh'va, as well as the original Bidda of Biddism.

The only thing these Gids have in common with each other is that they all get pissy if you pronounce the vowels in their names.

How cute,,,, he can use the fully spelled "Christ" in his nick, but crops the 'o' out of 'G-d'. Consistency, anyone?

Actually considering Satan is at war with "heaven"... Einstein is probably building super lasers and shit...

These people don't realize that God is a title, do they? I don't spell deity de_ty for fear of offending. Y_WH must be so pissed right now that these morons keep referring to him by his job description. I bet when they die he'll send them to hell where men gnash their teeth.

No matter how damned you think he is, his intelligence paved the way for much of the science and technology that we enjoy today--telecommunications, for example.

Isn't a little respect in order?

Ten points to anyone who can guess what that sentence says. But seriously, what's with leaving out the "o"? Are you scared god's gonna have an almighty hissy if he finds out you committed the unthinkable sin of WRITING HIS NAME?! You know...like the bible authors did?

Or are you just not worthy of speaking his name, peon?

Where's my prize?

It's hard to think you're "too smart for God" if you don't actually believe he exists, wouldn't you think...?

You are all the same! Consistently you assume that atheists think God is real but are only running away from him because they want to live in sin. What a pathetic display of narrowmindedness.

"So what if Einstein was an atheist?"

Yeah, that's what we've been saying all along. I think they're finally getting it! :D

Oh, maybe not, then... :/

The whole "G-d" thing is because for some reason you're not allowed to actually express the name of God, or bad stuff will happen. Sort of like Candlejack I guess.

But everyone who's sane knows that's just a crazy supersti

Any Hebrew name of God is forbidden to erase. From the Torah's exhortation to destroy idolatry, we learn out the prohibition not to destroy the name of God. (see Deuteronomy 12:3-4)

The English word "God" is actually a matter of dispute as to its degree of holiness. Many treat the name "God" with great reverence as well, for example, by spelling it with a hyphen.

The commandment not to erase or deface the name of God comes from Deut. 12:3. In that passage, the people are commanded that when they take over the promised land, they should destroy all things related to the idolatrous religions of that region, and should utterly destroy the names of the local deities. Immediately afterwards, they are commanded not to do the same to their God. From this, the rabbis inferred that they were commanded not to destroy any holy thing, and not to erase or deface a Name of God.

You know, even if God hates him, it doesn't mean he's wrong. Maybe God hates him because he's right and God is wrong! Ever think about that?
