(Anyone watch the show "Reaper" on the CW? Is it any good?)
Sure it's a good show. If your anti-God. This blasphemus show is based off of the Christian faith but makes a total mockery of it. Instead of having Satan evil and out to destroy humanity, he's portrayed as this 'cool', likable guy who, yeah is evil and all but really deep down he's has feelings and is just misunderstood*rollseyes* Give me a break! And last Tuesdays episode was the last straw for me. One of the characters dies and goes to Heaven but, get this- not only is he a demon, he's a homosexual. Let me repeat that: A gay demon gets to go to Heaven. I'm really at a lost for words about that. Liberal television strikes again.

Careful Dark, you used a big word there, he may not be able to follow you on that...
All in all, im now interested in watching this show.. hmm..
Are you guys serious? I've never seen the show and I consider myself as athiest as you can get but from the comment it appears the show portrays the devil as a cool regular guy and allows demons into heaven. For someone to be offended by that it seems to me that would make them 'christian' or 'religious' sure but not fundie. Fundie is when they take offense to a chocolate chip cookie advert using the word sexy. Also the guys reaction to the show is to
1. Roll his eyes
2. Say 'Give me a break'
3. Finish with a statement that he's 'lost for words'
It's not as though he's screaming for the heads of the shows producers on poles is it.
Hey! I thought your 'Satan' was also known as the beguiler? So which is it? Warty disgusting, or beguiling? Can't have it both ways!
Anyway, "Reaper" like your religions, is fiction. Have a nice day!
There you are. It just shows how natural being gay is. Even Demons are gay.
Joking aside, I have problems with the mental deficiency portrayed by certain types who seem not to be able to distinguish between even their own versions of reality and fictional entertainment. In this person's melange of 'ficteality' demons can be gay. What sort of religious education does that indicate? Angels/Demons (they are they same order of being, we are to believe) are totally removed from sex. It just isn't - for them. So how can there be a gay Angel/Demon? Equally the concept of a Demon getting into heaven is silly. Heaven is more a state of being in god's favour, no? Therefore there are no Pearly Gates - sorry if I am shattering fundie illusions of Glory here. The inherent 'evil' of a demon would, of itself, maintain the said being distant (not in terms of time or space, but supernally) from a Supreme Being who is supposedly 'good'. No?
So take your knickers off and spend the next half hour untwisting them. Perhaps you will need to whah them too.

The very first 2 fragmented sentences says it all. "Sure it's a good show. If your anti-God." There's also the last complete sentence (surely written by mistake) of "Liberal television strikes again". That post is full of fundie.
My husband loves that show. He also knows it is fully fictitious.
Tell me, how does your loving god allow a gay demon into heaven? If, you know, he exists?
Do you see the errors in your logic? A television show, which you do not have to watch, goes against your beliefs. It is not real; it is made up. And, in this made up show, a gay demon goes to heaven. And, you are offended? Either god loves gays and demons and allows them in heaven, or the show is pure fiction.
Get over it.
Nevermind that Steve (the gay demon in question) was forgiven by God for his part in actively plotting (with other demons) to overthrow and kill Satan.
How DARE those evil producers portray your supposedly all-loving, all-forgiving God as...um, all-loving and all-forgiving...!?
And, y'know, portraying your God as real , for that matter.
A gay demon gets to go to Heaven.
Romans 2-3 says everyone is a sinner and deserves hell. Getting into heaven is entirely dependent on God's grace, not on what you did. Where in the Bible does it say being gay is worse than any of the other things on Paul's list that are done by almost everyone (lying, malice, covetousness, slandering, being boastful, etc.)?
Well, that's it. A fundie dislikes a T.V. show. It's all over now. We all know that a show cannot survive criticism from the devout Christian community. No-one will want to watch it anymore, out of fear of seeing something so abysmal, so ungodly, so blasphemous, amoral, and wrong, that they will be damned to Hell almost instantaneously!
[runs to television, turns on Reaper]

Why shouldn't a sentient creature, with a level of intelligence equal or greater to a human being, have feelings?
Oh, right, because that makes them a whole lot harder to blindly hate. Gotta remember that when you're making up an imaginary figure to blame for the world's ills and fixate your ill-defined feelings of frustration and anger upon.
At risk of stating the blindingly obvious: if you don't like it, don't watch it. That's why I don't have cable (at all, nothing, I can't stand the drivel TV producers put out.) Instead of staying home and watching a show you hate either a) go out bowling or b) buy a DVD box set of a show you LIKE (I strongly recommend Dr. Who, it's totally christian based)
Well, if he really prayed and repented, shouldn't he be there in the end? I mean, isn't that what you teach? I would think you would be happy!!
I've made the decision that he is a Fundie.
I mean, Constantine displayed the whole good/evil thing as basically God and Satan getting drunk and getting into a bet.
Creative freedom. Deal with it. Then there's his homophobia and "liberal tv strikes again" comment. He's very mild, but yes, he is a Fundie.
OK, so they've gone from "Satan can impersonate your greatest desires and lead you into sodomy, idolatry, and voting Democrat" to "Satan must always be portrayed as an ugly fuckstick." I find that funnier than the "gay demon" part.
Man, I wonder what they'd say if I showed them the old movie "Oh God! You Devil," in which both God and the Devil are played by George Burns.
Confused?
