If life does not begin at conception why does Planned Parenthood hand out so many condoms?

ummm *raises hand*
Disease prevention?
Because using abortion as the only form of birth control would be expensive, time consuming, and probably somewhat painful. Also, not everyone reacts well to hormonal contraceptives, and condoms help prevent disease.
I hate to say it, but this one actually makes logical sense, and refers to verifiable biological fact. After all, disease prevention isn't the only function of a condom...
Sorry guys, but I don't think this one merits such a high rating.

That is pretty much the crux of the first disagreement I had with the Catholic church I grew up with. I remember this old "fire and brimstone" priest giving us his anti-abortion speech and I remember thinking "If you dummies don't like abortion, then why not support birth control?".
The whole of their argument made no sense to me.
@Mark
You nailed it for me.
I've read this "question" a few times now and cannot for the life of me understand what the first half of the sentence has to do with the second half.
I'll just ask: If all you need for that sandwich is deli sliced turkey, then why do we grow so many damn tomatoes?
Prevention of sexually transmitted diseases
Reduce the number of abortions
Reduce the number of unwanted children
An evil atheist plot to wipe out christianity entirely
Perhaps the RCC has suddenly found that the world population at its' inception was 305 million, and now its' 7 billion and rising expotentially.
See, what we are forgetting here is that fundies believe that Planned Parenthood should really be named Planned Death. Prolife vs Prodeath. That's what I learn from reading too much RR in my spare time.
In their eyes, PP doesn't want to prevent pregnancy, but to terminate it... I think some RR people believe it is for money (which is funny) why should this due be any different?
To prevent pregnancy, to keep a bunch of unwanted babies being created.
To reduce the number of abortions, to keep fundies out of women's wombs.
To reduce the percentage of sexual infections, to stop people dying of preventable illnesses.
To ensure that Drunken Douchebag doesn't become Weekend Daddy.
To make giving/receiving anal/oral safer and hygienic.
They can also be used as water balloons, for your inner twelve-yo...
They're serious with this question - they actually believe that people like those running Planned Parenthood *want* to perform as many abortions a possible:
"To answer the question: it's a smart marketing move. Condoms have a pretty high failure rate, even if used correctly (often they are not). If PP gives out a condom and it fails, the likelihood that they've just gained another customer to shell out hundreds of dollars for an abortion increases drastically" SeekerJen(http://forums.catholic.com/showpost.php?p=4130465&postcount=56 )
Because once a pregnancy starts it has to end one way or the other. I really thought both sides would like to see a reduction in abortions. Obviously I was wrong.
Oh and condoms are effective 99% of the time.
So that people can Plan when to enter into Parenthood, of course. How hard can it be to grasp that? People who are ready and eager to become parents, often make better parents, strangely enough, than people who don't want to become parents, who can't afford to become parents, who aren't physically or mentally able to become parents.
Children have a right to be expected, wanted and loved.
Why does PP hand out condoms? Because YOU won't do it.
You'll just preach and complain, instead of taking that simple basic step to help the lives of others. If you're a catholic, you want to ban abortions, but now you're whining because PP is preventing the need for anortions.
Confused?
