Acceptance of the theory of evolution is not and ideological imperative to liberalism, nor does evolution have anything to do with socio-political ideology. Evolutionary theory is accepted by members of nearly ever ideology, and the fact that you seem to think otherwise just goes to show how little you know about your own ideology much less anyone elses. No, the believe in following the law as it was laid down in the US Constitution, which mandates that the government stays neutral on the matter of religion, neother supporting nor condemning any religion. It can be and is a part of public life, but it cannot be legislated or forced upon an unwilling populace no matter how small a percentage of the populace is unwilling. The US Constitution was crafted in such away to ensure thet the US wouldn't simply become a tyranny of the majority.

People like yourself want to reduce political differences down to "Us good, them bad", but thats not the way politics works. The reasons there is opposition parties in modern politics is because a single ideology cannot be righton all issues and single party politics quickly degenerates into single party tyrannies where dissent and disagreement are snuffed out by force of law. Freedom cannot exist in that sort of state.
