They don't need death panels to accomplish this.
The only people who are talking about "death panels" are reactionary conspiricy theorists who haven't even bother to so much as glance at the legeslation proposed.
They can deny service or put you on a "waiting list" indefinitely, essentially signing your death certificate.
You mean just like private insurence companies do? Like the insurance company that decided after 40+ years of paying premiums that my grandfather's cancer was a "pre-existing condition" and refused to pay for treatments that he could not afford on his own, leaving him to die slowly and in horrible agony while his family could do little more than watch? Fuck you and fuck your desire to deny healthcare to those who cannot afforde such things on their own.
The government does not view us as human beings,
The "government" is not a single self aware entity with an opinion of it'd own. The "government doesn't "veiw" anyone as anything.
Christians and conservatives view people as human beings, government and liberals view us as a number/dollar amount.
First off, you don't get to define how anyone other than yourself views anything. Secondly, If liberals only view people as a number or dollar amount then why are they always the ones of the forefront of every single civil/human rights movements? You never see conservative christians speaking out for equal rights for oppressed minorities, in fact they are the ones who oppose such things.
The government can't even operate the post office successfully.
So would you care to explain why, with the execption of the past 3-4 years, that the USPS has operated at a profit since a couple of years it was established?
They are going to close down 100 posts offices.
And there is a recession currently going on, not to mention the post office has seen a distinct drop in business with the advent of relatively free and instant e-mail. Thats not government mismanagement, it's industry downturn.
What do you think is going to happen with government run hospitals when money gets even tighter?
No one is trying to implement government run healthcare, just government subsidized health insurance, and regardless of what you want people to believe they are not the same thing. In one system the government manages the day to day operations of all healthcare facilites, and in the proposed system the government simply picks up the tab and pays for all healthcare needs of the citizens.
