Why does it always have to be black and white?
If you want your religion, fine, I don't want it, you can have it.
Again, pro-choice does not mean someone want to abort all fetuses. Pro-choice means being for the option to choose, thus the choice in pro-choice. Imagine that, something that says in plain terms what it means.
Two guys getting it on down the block does not affect either you or me. Personally, I've been hit on a time or two, it made me uncomfortable, but I got over it. Homosexual =/= homosexual rapist. Two guys won't make the unhappy, empty marriage you find yourself stuck in with your wife any less meaningful. Your marriage is separate from their marriage, and neither directly effects the other.
For an exercise in thinking, consider this. Your god created everything. Your god, in his supposed all knowing nature, realized that things would change as time went on, so he gave everything the ability to grow and adapt as the situation called for it. A possible, and believable answer to theistic evolution.
I'm not anti-religion, but I am anti-blind faith. If you can't explain it without referring to the awesomeness and overly advanced nature of a dangerously flawed deity in, potentially, one of the most self-contradicting novels ever compiled, then your opinion (as there are no facts to back it up) is rendered null and void for the rest of the conversation.
Now if you'll excuse me, I think I'll go talk to my six year old who is willing to engage her brain.
