I disagree. As a long time anime fan, it's a great distraction. Certainly from the usual crap on TV these days (Two Words: Reality TV). And it's very much a distraction from anything religious. Mainly because God isn't a hot anime woman with big hooters:

What makes you say that? I'm on anime forums, and whilst some members are Christians, that makes no difference to me. I discuss anime with them, as they do with me. They know I'm an Atheist. As long as they don't force their beliefs on me (and the mods/admins of such forums ensure such potential non-topic arguments are nipped in the bud), we get on just fine. Oh, but they're not True Christians though, are they?

No, they're known as 'Moralfags' on 4chan's /a/. And those kinds of trolls don't last very long there. But I'm guessing you've never been there (either because you've never heard of it before, or you have but don't dare go there due to the existence of 4chan's /b/ - the true Hell's Sewer of the Internet). But if you do go to (or have been on) /a/, and you're wondering what anime to watch, let me offer you two suggestions:
