Are we really? If so, the fact that 90% of the human population has always been theistic of some variety is a compelling statement. That so many are convinced in the course of their lives suggests that maybe those who never catch on are just not paying attention, eh?

And the fact that the Celestial Teapot has a 100% success rate in prayer whereas the Christian God only answers prayers that "follow His Plan" is also convincing!
That's right, I prayed that ramen would stop tasting like shit and the Celestial Teapot came through for me.
According to folks like CG Jung, and a Masonic treatise I've read, humans have a spiritual predisposition...which invites theism, deism, terminism and the like. It's a shame that the world's two predominating religions are both Abrahamic, as billions have been bothered by varying degrees of weirdness, the vast majority only mildly. Thankfully.
Genuinely good people can easily exceed the schizoid standards of Jehova, thus freeing themselves from the tyranny of that immortal diseased ego. As I understand the Christian message, that is what Jesus tried to convey.
500 years ago less than 50% of europe observed any religious practices, as you go back further it's less (And Theistic is the belief in higher powers and most don't coincide with Christianity,I've heard this stupid argument that Zeus, Odin Native gods are all just God with different names, absolute bullshit.)
3000 years ago worshiping Gods was not only rare but who the hell had time for it?
and claiming that people have always believed in something does not prove Christianity, if it was the ONLY religion, or even the oldest....nah still not proof
rglencheek, did you know that 93% of all the people who ever lived are currently dead? That so many would clearly prefer not living over living suggests that you're on the wrong side of the fence on this topic!
Isn't it time you stopped bucking the trend?
I honor Odin , Zues and Shiva with Kali and the Earth Mother.
That IS what you meant isnt it ?
Hail FSM, noodly appendages and all.
