Quote# 73502

The following is a fictional example of a series of transitional forms that would prove Evolution. Frame A is a typical horse. Frame E is a horse that has evolved fully functional wings. In between are examples of what would be millions of individuals over millions of years until the wing was perfected.

If you can identify a series of transitional forms like the above, see the Reward for Proof of Evolution page.

The stupid in this is beyond my capaicty to take in. A horse is simply not capable of flight, whether winged or not. Physics don't allow it. Weight vs Muscle capacity!

Jedi Knight

It may have escaped your notice, but mammals with actual wings have four limbs, not six.

6/2/2010 3:53:30 PM

Those are 'fully functional' wings? Good grief you failed aerodynamics.

I read about the afterlife

This is absolute fail.

Zeus Almighty

What would really impress me is if fundies ever were able to develop functional brains.

Oh my god...

Holy crap, there are 25 exhibits, each as bananas (and boringly unoriginal) as the next.

I recommend checking it out though, its a hoot, in that depressing way Creationists are.

Those wings won't lift that horse, and won't do anything to give it a stronger chance at surviving and passing on its genes. FAIL.

I've seen some crazy things on this site. This ranks pretty high! i have no other words to describe the sheer stupidity of this chart.

Pule Thamex

It's as though a veil has been lifted from my eyes and I can see clearly for the first time. Wow! Awe inspiring. It's the proof of an invisible God that I've always known I needed. Now, at last, I'm free to express my true Biblical nature. My dear fellow fundies, what group do you recommend that I start to persecute? I'm feeling that God so loves me and I need to burn someone alive to express my true love for the supreme invisible torturer. Please don't anybody disagree with me or mock me, as I haven't yet learned how to react as a man who is persecuted for his beliefs. I'm sure it won't take me long to get up to speed though.

Should I change my political stance? I'm currently a moderate. Is that OK? Also, my understanding of the meaning of words is, whilst not perfect, at least not too bad. Do I need to look at this? If so, how do I uneducate myself? Looking at the lovely picture of horsies, some with wings, I feel as though I have such a long and difficult road to travel in order to measure up to such lofty Biblical ideals.

So if a horse would be better off with wings, why wouldn't God give them to him? Evolution says winged horses would be unlikely, because the earliest quadrupeds had only four limbs, and evolution can only work with what already exists. But God supposedly can do anything, so He could give them all the wings He wanted.

Congratulations. You've just offered yet another piece of evidence for evolution. PS, you can't disprove evolution by asking why it didn't do X, because the same question could be asked about God. People have known this for over a century. Study the question first, then you won't offer stupid arguments that have already been answered years ago.

A horse with wings would *disprove* the ToE. The saddest thing is, you'll never understand why.

6/2/2010 4:21:36 PM

I submit this image as an example of the horsefeathers developing in segment B.

6/2/2010 4:24:49 PM

I see, a one thousand pound animal with wings of a goose.

Fully functional? Try again, asswipe.

Doctor Whom

The following is a fictional example of a series of transitional forms that would prove the Bible. Frame A is a Biblically correct four-legged insect. Frame E is an insect that has microevolved a fully functional third pair of legs. In between are examples of what would have to have happened in only a few millennia between the (supposed) time of Moses and now.

Darwin's Lil' Girl

Actually, those wings are hardly functional - they're way too small to support a horse's weight.

6/2/2010 4:40:06 PM

Old Viking

The horse would have to flap like a sonuvabitch.

6/2/2010 4:40:59 PM

Booooooooooring. Kirk Cameron did it better with the crocoduck. If you're going to be this stupid, at least try to squeeze some creativity into it.

6/2/2010 4:45:09 PM

Yeah, 'cause this is totally the way wings evolved.

6/2/2010 4:47:56 PM

Uh, genius, in your example there is no skeletal or muscular support for wings. Proofs that evolution happens are all around. We don't need winged horses to make our case.

If wings would be beneficial to a horse then your God should have given them, if not then there would be no reason for evolution to have developed them.

Ouch. My brain broke.

Facepalming so hard right now.

Oh god, the picture from the next page is even more hilarious:
