That's precisely how I feel as long as you fundies keep it out of the schools and the political arena. Unfortunately, you're not and so we must act.
It is religion which is dying. This is why we hear the most extreme views now. It is only the extremists which are left the dogs on the bone. The moderates are thinning. There are a great many people who consider themselves to be of a certain religion but in fact it is an off the cuff response as they do not read the bible, go to church, or follow its tenets. I don’t know about other areas but here churches are closing. They can no longer afford to stay open due to declining attendance. The Catholic church is consolidating and even in one case has sold the church hall to a group of Muslims for a Mosque so it can pay debts.
Okay, I've had it, if religion is so fucking great, why did people try to stop the dark ages by questioning it? Why did things start getting better for mankind AS A WHOLE once we started ignoring religion and did some research? It's almost as if... *gasp* religion has dumbed down mankind just to benefit the few who obviously couldn't be productive in any manner possible. So they had to lie and trick people so they could eat, too, i.e. invent religion.
Over here more and more people grow out of religion and become indifferent, agnostics or atheists.
We are all free to criticize our nation. That's one of the best ways to make it better; to bring out into the open, that which is not good. If you don't try to improve, then you stagnate, de-evolve.
