"You clearly do not understand that the Constitution as the social contract that it is. Muslims have NO INTENTION of ever respecting your property rights, infidel."
So what was Iraq all about, then? [/Spartan Laconic Wit]
"To them, you are not a fellow citizen deserving respect for your rights, but are instead lower than dirt."
So you're forfeiting your right - in perpetuity - to persecute LGBT people, Liberals, Atheists, women exerting their individual rights to decide what to do with their own bodies etc; nay, agreeing to no longer have the right to so much as have an opinion about such issues & the people involved, is that what you're saying...?
"They are USING your respect for the Constitution against you, and laughing up their sleeves at what they intend to do to civic respect for your unalienable rights once they wield power."
So you're forfeiting your right - in perpetuity - to claim that America is a 'Christian' country, and acknowledging that the US is in fact, an Atheist one (PROTIP: remember why those Pilgrim Fathers left England - to escape religious persecution), is that what you're saying? One word: Dominionism.
"They are not participants in that social contract and are therefore undeserving of its protections."
Ahem (emphasis added):
'For happily the Government of the United States, which gives to bigotry no sanction, to persecution no assistance, requires only that they who live under its protection should demean themselves as good citizens, in giving it on all occasions their effectual support.'
-George Washington
Where can I get that particular brand of mirror polish you're using, little Freeper?
"Upon reading the Quran, Jefferson understood that, and considered Islam a mortal threat to this nation should it ever be established here."
And upon reading the Bible, he understood & considered Christianity a mortal threat to your nation too, should it ever be established there (emphasis added):
'There is more need for lighthouses in our country than churches.'
'But it does me no injury for my neighbour to say there are twenty gods or no God. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg.'
'Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blind-folded fear.'
'I have examined all the known superstitions of the world, and I do not find in our particular superstition of Christianity one redeeming feature. They are all alike founded on fables and mythology.'
-Thomas Jefferson
I'm not even American, yet I learned enough about your own history at school to know about such things. I'm British. Remember those Pilgrim Fathers, why they left my country, and why the basis of their actions inspired Thomas Jefferson to draft the Constitution the way he did; 'Separation of Church and State', and all that jazz.
We Brits actually have a state religion. It's the basis of modern Protestant Christianity, no less. Three words: Church of England.
Enjoy your paradox, little Freeper.
There's a couple of other countries I can name that have state religions too: Iran. Saudi Arabia.
I love the smell of arguments blasted out of the space-time continuum in the morning. Smells like... victory.

"So I take it that the whole ramble about being "Christians first, Americans second" was just a big joke, right?"
'I pledge allegiance to the Christian Flag...'
-'Hoemskuled' kids, "Jesus Camp"
...nope, I wasn't laughing, neither. The same way that the films "Saw" & "Hostel" are to "Blazing Saddles" & "Airplane".
I wonder if those scenes with those fundie kids were scripted by Ricky Gervais? The only way he'd make me laugh, is if he played Russian Roulette with a .50 cal. Desert Eagle (PROTIP: At the Diana Memorial gig several years ago, Gervais did a stand-up routine. He died ten thousand deaths on that stage. Proof that "The Office" is a prime example of 'Emperor's New Clothes Syndrome' - and I was the little boy saying 'He's naked!').
