But while Corkins thankfully failed in his attack on FRC, five liberal justices on our Supreme Court committed an act of judicial terrorism that struck at the very foundation of our constitutional republic. The court's liberal majority accepted a radical redefinition of marriage and imposed its morality on the rest of society.
In doing so, five unelected judges rejected thousands of years of Judeo-Christian understanding, as well as congressional statutes, and set the stage for invalidating the will of the people in more than two-dozen states that have voted to maintain the traditional definition of marriage. Does the consent of the governed matter at all anymore?
It seems as though America is on the verge of criminalizing the Book of Genesis. And with Obamacare's assault on conscience, the danger to religious liberty cannot be overstated.

Why is redefinition bad by itself again? DOMA redefined marriage as well (made it more specific), and last I checked the "consent of the governed" stopped mattering when DOMA went federal, thus invalidating the will of the people in the more liberal states.
And don't even get me fucking started with the whole 'unelected' bullshit. The entire point of having unelected judges is so the know-nothings cannot simply vote oppression for everybody else and send the country to shit unopposed.
Ask the people in Gaza and the West bank what they think is more like terrorism; letting people you haven't met and never will meet marry each other, or having your home demolished by tanks and bulldozers, after which new homes for Israelis are build on the spot, while you're left to fend for yourself and your kids. If you're lucky
They might shoot you or your kids because you're in the way of the bulldozer. Ask the American Rachel Corrie. Oh wait, you can't, she was crushed by a bulldozer.
Letting people work on the Sabbath is also in violation with thousands of years of Judeo-Christian understanding, even more so, as it's one of the Ten Commandments.
The "traditional" definition of marriage was connecting farms, and getting yourself a brood-mare, as young as possible so she'll live through many pregnancies and can produce a lot of child-labor for you. A plus if she’s underage, then you can “form” her yourself. I'd rather have the new definition, thank you; two consenting adults who love each other and want to spend their lives together.
It's the will of the majority of the governed, dearie. And also, not allowing same-sex marriages is a violation of the Constitution.
I'd guess that Obama is more of a Christian in his mind than you are. You seem more focused on forcing others to adhere, than following the Bible yourself.

You're talking about the 1967 Loving vs Virginia decision right?
Where unelected judicial activists invalidated the will of the people striking down the traditional white people only marriage laws?
five unelected judges rejected ... congressional statutes
You say this like it's a bad thing, but you fail to understand that THIS IS THEIR JOB.
People who do not understand our form of government should not be allowed to vote in it. This is not a majority rule nation and the governed don't get to vote into law actions that hinder the civil liberities of others. Be very careful. The religous tide is shifting and should civil liberties be granted through the voting both, many religious people could find themselves commiting criminal acts just by going to church. Is that the way you'd really like things to go down? What you would do to others could be done to you as well.
@Rob aka Mediancat
'The consent of the governed.
"By which you mean YOU consenting. Because I don't consent to your definition of marriage."
A question for Gary here: Who elected God ?
Aye, there's the rub...!
The "will of the people" means exactly jack shit when it comes to civil rights. And you should be thankful for that. When you become a minority (notice, it's not "if" it's "when") you'll have the same protections everyone else does. Besides, last polling showed that 53% of people are in favor of marriage equality. So there goes your "will of the people" argument.

Liberal? If they were liberal they'd never have ruled in favor of super PACs. And nothing is being imposed on you. You don't have to get gay married, your church can still hate gays and refuse to marry them (losing a good source of income in the process), and you can even tell them they're going to hell, though you can't harass them though, but then again harassment's been illegal for a long time.
five unelected judges rejected thousands of years of Judeo-Christian understanding
Given that the government has a separation of church and state, that's irrelevant.
It seems as though America is on the verge of criminalizing the Book of Genesis
The Constitution also mandates freedom of religion so Genesis will NEVER be banned, even if 99% of the population wants it banned.
1) No, the "will of the people" doesn't matter a whit to the law, that's how the law works.
2) The majority of the SCOTUS is conservative.
3) ObamaCare is no threat to religious freedom whatsoever.
4) The present definition of marriage is, at most, a few centuries old. Learn some fucking history.
"The court's liberal majority accepted a radical redefinition of marriage and imposed its morality on the rest of society"
Monogamy is a radical redefinition. Solomon bitch. Also imposing morality seems to be something a number of Christians try to do these days.

Those five judges were nominated by the President, and then confirmed by a majority vote in the Senate. That is exactly the procedure that is outlined the the foundation of our constitutional government, i.e., the Constitution of the United States of America. I'm thinking you've never actually read it.
