I say, it IS heartening to see that these quaint, curious legends and customs of yore die so very hard. Blood libel, the Wandering Jew, Protocols of the Elders of Zion, punishing children, grand-children, and other descendants for deeds and misdeeds of their almost forgotten ancestors...
But if we are to believe legends, Mr Stewart is very much wrong! Not all Jews are guilty! You see, if I recall correctly, back in the High Middle Ages (somewhere around 1200) there was this legend that it was not Jewish aristocracy and priests that condemned and sentenced Jesus, but rather a secret meeting of the Jews from all around the world. And representatives of every single settlement voted for, all but one, representing Toledo in Castile (Hispania Ulterior back then). Because their man voted against, Jews of Toledo claimed, they were, in fact, innocent of Christ's death. So they were exempt from all those humiliating and/or punitive laws of Church and Castillian Crown. And Christ's death was not their fault.
So, Mr Stewart, you quote us a description of blood-frenzied mob, skillfully orchestrated by authorities (written some years post factum, mind!), and from this description you infer guilt of people not yet born at the time - not yet born even today! How you manage to name yourself Christian I don't know. I can only think that devout, medieval Catholics, who, believing this absurd folk-tale, persecuted all Jews but those from Toledo, have shown more mercy and more virtue than you do. Think of that what you will.
tl,dr: David Stewart, would thou wert clean enough to spit upon...
