Now a far as species go, I don;t know how many species they say there are today. Maybe they do say 6 million or 30 million. I think this idea is supported by the cleansing of Canaan. Joshua was commanded to kill every living thing, which included children and babies. Infants were considered unclean since they were members of a pagan culture that their parents participated. Israeli children were considered clean because they were part of God's chosen culture.

The death penalty IS NOT MURDER. It is not killing for fun, it is not done in happiness or for even vengance, but it is a necessity, a device used so that peace can be achieved. It is an act of war the same as any other. It truly is an act of love towards society and a necessity to those who love peace. I believe that Jesus is for the death penalty, and expects punishment on those he loves.

My reasons for doubting are simple, yet incredibly hard to explain. Let me say this: look at modern dogs. They vary so much in size, shape, and other characteristics, yet they are all dogs and are produced not by Evolution (chance mutations with survival of the fittest) but by their built-in ability to reproduce. Yet, if you were to give me a plethora of modern dog bones (died within the last few years), I could eventually assemble them in such a way as to make one set of bones appear to be an evolved version of another set. And I could easy do such a thing by insinuating (and assuming) that any "gaps" in my little "evolutionary record" are simply fossils that haven't been found yet, or have been destroyed by whatever means.

The only problem with the Bible being stories and myth or whatnot is that it would be very unique. I mean, all of it's major players ahve huge falws with them. Look at David. Do you honestly think that you are the original in raising these questions? If the Bible could be proven false/and or/inaccurate, then Christianity wouldn't have survived 2000 years of persecution. I'm new to the forums but i just wanted to say that there has NEVER been any proof to the theory of Evolution. A few years back they thought they had found the 'missing link' but it turns out it was a fake. With that said I believe that evolution is complete crap!!!!
