If you are not for torture, you're a terrorist sympathizer. Their safe haven is surrounding themselves by innocent people yet they are far from innocent. It's their choice to jeopardize their lives while it's our choice to do some saturation bombing. Teddy Bear Cruz will recite the constitution because he's memorized it verbatim and feels he can win an election based on that. The constitution changes when terrorism is involved, sympathizers feel we should wait to be attacked and catch them in the act, that's really sad.

I am not for torture. Period. That makes me a terrorist sympathizer? A label I can live with. In fact I have chosen to follow a certain morality, espoused by a certain itinerant preacher, that commands me to, wait for it... Love terrorists. That doesn't gel with you? Tough luck.
" sympathizers feel we should wait to be attacked and catch them in the act"
You're right. We should torture those womens clinic attackers before they attack a clinic. And those Trump supporter who attack protesters. We should arrest them before they attack someone, not after. Every single one of them.
"My terrorism is going to be bigger than their terrorism. It's going to be yuuuuuge. We are gonna have the best terrorism! Make America great again. And listen, did I tell you? I invested heavily in terrorism, got in at the ground floor. Made a real bundle on that deal. And we'll be great again. Did you see that woman in a burkha there? Great ass on her, right? I love women. I respect women, especially if she has a great ass."
The constitution changes when terrorism is involved
Oh really? Doesn't that sound the teeniest bit like tyranny to you? I mean, all it would take is a megalomaniacal dictator, you know, someone like Trump, to declare terrorism and suspend the Constitution permanently.
I love how conservatives claim to be in favor of freedom and support the Constitution until someone they don't like has rights.
Let me give you a bit of an example from history:
Once upon a time, a dictator of a certain country came up with this really great set of criminal laws - really, a pretty awesome document. Very fair, liberal, humane to people in prisons, etc. One small detail though - "if a person commits something that makes him or her an enemy of our nation itself, we don't consider him or her to be covered by this document".
The dictator in question was Joseph Stalin. He never broke his laws too - all those people who died in Stalin's camp were the "enemies of Soviet people".
This quote is so messed up that I cannot even list all of the things wrong with it. I am just going to pick on the pettiest thing: "Teddy Bear Cruz".
I am not a Cruz person; I do not like Cruz. However, as an insult, "Teddy Bear Cruz" just sounds adorable. At least the usual Trump insult (lyin' Ted) actually sounds like an insult. This one just engenders sympathy. And I don't understand why the Cruz campaign doesn't make more of Cruz's dorkiness. Being a dorky kid who memorized the constitution is actually a good thing. Being a dorky guy who memorizes dumber stuff (lines from The Princess Bride, lines from The American President, etc.) covers a multitude of sins.
Edit: To be clear, I don't like Trump either. I am not sure where I was going with this thought. It was just a crazy thing that popped into my head.
This is terrifying. This is really, truly terrifying. This can't be real, but it is, isn't it? Gods...
If you are not for torture, you're a terrorist sympathizer.
I don't think McCain is a terrorist sympathizer.
Teddy Bear Cruz will recite the constitution because he's memorized it verbatim
He will swore to uphold it if he is elected, so it is a good thing to know it.
I...legitimately am terrified of this line of thinking.
1) "If you are not for torture, then you are a terrorist sympathizer." Let me guess: this is the same line of thinking that if I'm liberal, I'm "not a real American." Or if I'm against the death penalty, I'm "weak on crime." It is possible to be both against terrorism and against torture. It's called "being sane."
2) "The Constitution changes when terrorism is involved..." No...no it does not. if that were the case, we'd have to basically suspend the constitution indefinately because we're in a constant state of conflict oh wait I see what you did there.
Torture just gets you whatever lie makes the pain stop fastest. It does not generate reliable information. As a result, I see no reason to compromise morality in this way due to paranoia. Torture the wrong person until you get answers and your armed forces raid an unrelated target on bad intel.
Wanting terrorists dealt with in a way that is actually reliable makes me a terrorist sympathizer? No. Wanting to use torture even though you know its unreliable and will waste counterterrorist resources on snipe hunts means that YOU ARE THE TERRORIST SYMPATHIZER! YOU ARE THE TRAITOR! YOU MONSTER! HOW COULD YOU!?!
Sure. torture's very effective. Just not at getting reliable information. Someone undergoing torture will say literally anything to make it stop.
What it IS good at is sending a message of fear and hopelessness to your enemy, or to people who are thinking about becoming your enemy: "We are in charge, you have no power. Obey us, or we will hurt you and people you love." It's also good at satisfying supporters who have a strong authoritarian, sadistic streak, and it's really great at getting other nations to fear and hate yours, which causes even more problems in the long run. But if you're the kind of person who fervently believes in national isolation, you might actually find that a satisfying outcome.
Most of the people who enthusiastically support torture don't really care about getting reliable information. Most of them just want to see someone they hate being punished. But on the bright side, it gives us a dandy way to identify the authoritarian sadists among us.
If you are not for torture, you're a terrorist sympathizer .
FTFY
Because HEAVEN FORBID that Christians actually take the message of "Love your neighbor" "Love/Forgive/Pray for your enemies", "Turn the other cheek", "Blessed are the peacemakers", etc. to heart and practice it.
These Far-Righties worship a Bizarro-Jesus. They worship The 616 Guy.
So, since the KKK & white supremacist militias are domestic terrorists, they don't get rights... correct?
What do you mean, that would cut into a large portion of Trump's voter base?
Confused?
