You're right, nothing in scripture states such a thing as no other life besides humans and divinity.
However, what's even more intriguing is...if supposedly they do exist now, are they affected by man's sin, more importantly the sins of the rebellious angels and Lucifer?
Man's sin affected the whole world and set off the second law of thermodynamics(which I believe is the curse God put on us) and affected the animals and everything living in that all decays and degenerates and eventually dies. So are these other living "aliens" affected by us, even though the bible says only man and satan sinned? This is what I've wondered for some time now.

I have been wondering for some time now if Green Lantern can use his power ring to lift Thors magic hammer.
Man's sin affected the whole world and set off the second law of thermodynamics
Where do people get this crap, even in the Bible? Paul suggested death was the result of Adam's sins, but even that is just one of many things he pulled out of his butt during his rants that never actually appeared in the OT. Yet from that, they go even further into the realm of speculation and invent all sorts of additional nonsense about the SLOT, deterioration of our DNA, tornadoes and earthquakes - all supposedly caused by God getting PO'd over some guy eating a piece of magic fruit. Do these morons actually read the Bible?
Oh this was so close to not being fundie until they mentioned the second law of thermodynamics. Without entropy, there would be no friction, meaning that Surafel believes that Adam and Eve were slipping and sliding all over the Garden of Eden and were unable to ever stop until they ate the fruit. (How could they have even grasped the fruit?)

How do people this stupid manage to get through an entire day without setting themselves on fire?
"Man's sin affected the whole world and set off the second law of thermodynamics...."
What does the dissipation of heat in a closed system have to do with the myth of Adam and Eve sinning?
Learn what Thermodynamics is before you show your complete ignorance by using it incorrectly in an argument. Thermodynamic deals with heat, hence the word "thermo" right there in the name, and is also deals only with closed systems. It has nothing to do with organic material decaying (hint: that would be covered under biology).
> So are these other living "aliens" affected by us, even though the bible says only man and satan sinned?
Given everything else fundies say about God punishing people, I'd suggest that the demonstrated depth of God's compassion and the quality of his aim would indeed indicate that aliens on the other side of the universe have been adversely affected by the single misdemeanour of two long-dead humans.
Fucknut.
James Blish wrote a science fiction novel on this very topic, called "A Case of Conscience". And, apparently, the Catholic Church does have guidelines on extraterrestrials, whether they have souls, are fallen from grace, etc.
The laws of physics must have been really weird during the garden of eden, what with energy transfers not working, the inability to eat food and use it to power muscles, and so on.
I may be wrong here, but I really don't think there can be life, certainly not as we know it, in a world without the second law of thermodynamics.

You've been watching the latest series of "Torchwood" - 'Miracle Day' - haven't you, SureFail?
In which an unknown phenomenon causes everyone on Earth (save Capt. Jack Harkness) to become immortal.
I'm just surprised we haven't heard about fundies in the US being up in arms about it before now. The concept of 'Eternal Life' without spiritual Salvation.
No, Surafel. The second law of thermodynamics is a law of nature, and its existence is therefore quite unaffected by human actions.
@dionysus
It's fundy. The whole "man's sin" stuff is nonsense, as is the implication that if the scriptures *did* state there were no aliens then it would have to be so.
Man's sin affected the whole world and set off the second law of thermodynamics
Woo science at its best. Wonderfull, vintage.
I'd love to invite this clown to hold a lecture at the physics department of the local university. I'd let him feel like everybody took him totally seriously and then send him up on the podium without any preparation for the inevitable reaction.
Oh the fun, oh the joy, oh the Schadenfreude.
The deity floating over the USA is mightily concerned to see that any alien civilizations existing within 13.7 billion light years of Earth (taking into account Bible God's star-distance trickery), and that sprang into existence between about 6000 years ago to anytime in the future, must live with the consequences of middle eastern Earth lunacy.
Fundie madmen are not content just to see their own species suffer but are compelled to wonder if the whole universe will suffer because of the actions of their very own fundie desert jerks? That's a possibility? And you have to wonder about that? Are you a fundie moron?
Let me see. Some Catholic theologians asume that, if aliens exist, they can be told the good news too. You, on the other hand, are afraid that they may destroy your matrix world. Whatever, baby.
O.K. I'll suspend my disbelief for a moment to entertain a logical approach to the question.
If you're God is going to damn the inhabitants of another planet because some ditz took a bite out of an apple? He's a evil little bitch.
is it just me, or did this post get me some newfound respect for the guys and girls who lurk on RR to bring us back stupidity of such ludicrous purity? how are they not insane from the sheer idiocy?
also, arglebargle... simple english, man! use it!
Wait... entropy is the curse of God?
Well, then he must be pissed off at the entire universe if that's the case.
So wait... let me get this straight...
He thinks WE are the reason the 2nd law of thermodynamics exists?...
Aren't Christians humble? LOL
"...the babble says only man and satan sinned..."
I am not so sure about that Surafel. Didnt jeebus order his disciples to steal a horse? (criminal enterprise, racketeering). And he accepted that horse (receiving stolen goods).
There are more instances, but that should get you going....
From the OP...Im no proponent of 'intelligent aliens', but there isnt anything in Scripture that rules out life on other planets.
I'm pretty sure the bit about the stars being small lamps that could be knocked down from the sky and fall to earth would rule it out.
Not a Fundy myself, but it is an interesting concept.
are aliens sinful? Or righteous? But we have no data either way, so its all speculation of course. Still, it can make for a good thought exercise.
If there are other intelligent species of life in this universe, they are most likely completely unaware of us. Barring some incredible game-changing discovery in the fields of physics and engineering, in all probability we will never directly encounter them, or them us. If we do, it will almost certainly not be in our lifetimes.
Nothing we do, or are likely to do in the future, will possibly affect them. They aren't demonic, anymore than we are. They will be a product or their chemistry, their biology and how those interact with their environment, just like we are. You owe your life to the second law of thermodynamics, since we ourselves require entropy in order to exist in the first place (question: can you name the other two laws and explain what they mean? I'm betting you can't). It's built into the universe in which we all live--and it has nothing whatsoever to do with Adam and Eve eating an imaginary fruit, much less "sin." The universe literally doesn't care about us.
Feel free to keep wondering, though.
Confused?
