Wow. Just... wow.
If one's depth in the ocean was related to one's ignorance, this guy would shoot out the other side of the world... and we'd find him somewhere in the vicinity of Betelgeuse.
Does he even live in the same universe as ours?
He could be stating a "empowerment statement".
There are no "black africans". There are Egyptians, Nigerians, Kenyans and South Africans. The concept of declaring the similarities of an entire continent based on skin colour is flawed. He may be trying to point out that "black people" is'nt the way to describe africans when there are so many variations between their societies.

Granted, most of dark-skinned people are more or less brown. But there are some who are so dark they're almost blue.
Very few "white" people are really white either, we're rather beige or pink or yellowish. I think Chinese people are more white than Europeans are.
