No, not really.
I mean, about half my teachers in school were ‘mrs.’ But i didn’t see that as their sexuality being shoved down my throat.
About a third of them had a cross on display, but that wasn’t shoving their religion down my throat.
Every single news story about a tornado has someone thanking god for their survival, but I don’t take it as their religion being shoved down my throat.
Absolutely every president we’ve had in my lifetime has been at least a notional Christain, saving Doofus, but I don’t take it that the voters are shoving their religion down my throat.
EVERY SINGLE DAY there’s some religious authority being charged, convicted, sued, or appealing his child abuse conviction, sentence, or the evidence against him, and while I dislike it intensely, it’s not shoving their religion OR their sexuality ‘down my throat.’ At least, not mine.

I count it as bigotry because you are oversensitive to any mention of homosexuality and scream that it’s being shoved down your throat, oblivious to all the other examples of throat-shoving that you could be upset about, but are not.

Considering the number of laws criminalising homosexuality, it would seem a lot of people do care about who other people sleep with.
