Or you could renounce your all-or-nothing thinking. Just because lovemaking is at the top of the list doesn’t mean it’s the only thing worthy of consideration.

Never mind that from what we’ve seen, you’d only accomplish sex, not lovemaking. Not when you’re so completely unwilling to either reciprocate with women, nor be vulnerable/honest with pretty much anyone (I do wonder what they speak to each other that it isn’t bemoaning not getting their allegedly entitled Helenes at the moment of puberty.).

I’m a little curious exactly what the source of the table is, and what else is said about it.

I think that source is missing much-needed context.

First of all, that table as previously said needs context. Secondly, have you been going to the theatre recently? To the museum or library? Have you been exercising? Socializing? Singing? No? To busy being on the internet and constantly whining about how much you deserve sex with women? That’s pretty low according to the table here. Seems like your problem isn’t that you are unable to do something that would make you happy, but that you have chosen to only pine for that single best thing (in your mind), while ignoring all the other great things life enables you to do. You are also ignoring that “intimacy” and “making love” imply more than just sex. And even though you don’t want to hear it, I’m pretty sure that some kind of emotional connection does improve the happiness you get out of sex (and I would be very interested in finding out how exactly the study asked for this, because I think simply pure one night stands between strangers would fare much less well on this chart than sex between loving partners.)

First you’ll need to convince those who don’t agree with that view that foreplay and afterplay are worthy things in their own right, indeed fairly frequently more enjoyable than the physical intercourse itself—and that’s without damning the intercourse with faint praise. (Maybe because they’re easier to prolong than sex?)
