Love how libs in the West are anti-imperialism, colonialism, and white supremacy until an African country makes a law against homosexuality

Or, you know, it could just be that the “libs” (regardless of their own skin color or orientation) are simply (justifiably) morally opposed to the fact that this nation decided to put capital punishment on something people are born as. And therefore the “libs” use every legal resource aside from outright attacking to pressure the nation to be more lenient. I honestly don’t see how any of those actions are colonialism, tbh…
I don’t understand this at all.
"libs in the West are anti-imperialism,”
Okay.
“colonialism,”
Sure.
“and white supremacy”
Gotcha.
“until an African country makes a law against homosexuality”
How does being upset by a DEATH PENALTY for homosexuality violate a stance against imperialism? Is anyone saying the US should invade Uganda and amke it a US territory so they won’t execute gays there?
And how the entire fuck does objecting to such a death penalty impact on a rejection of white supremacy? Pretty sure we would be just as upset if Norway decidd gays deserved a firing squad.
This is just weird. Wait, is this Mrs. Sorbo?
Libs object to the death penalty for homosexuals on the same grounds we object to anti-imperialism, colonialism, and white supremacy: it violates the rights of the individual to "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." The phrase may be American, but the sentiment is universal. People should not have to be afraid of their own government.
We're not going to invade and subjugate Uganda to force them to stop persecuting gays. If we did, we would be hypocrites.
It was actually colonialism which was responsible for most of the sodomy laws in Africa and other places. However when places such as India, Singapore and the Caribbean nations are scrapping these laws, somewhere like Uganda comes along to take a huge step back. So obviously civilized people are going to object to this.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
