Genesis 1–11 is the foundational history for geology, biology, astronomy, and anthropology so we can understand the present.
Problem is, it says jack shit about important stuff like genetics, bacteriology, virology, volcanology and a bunch of fundamental scientific disciplines.
It also spouts a bunch of horseshit about astronomy (like the concept of a firmament) and even mathematics (like Pi being equal to 3).
As I often say, if there really was a worldwide (global) flood, you would expect to find billions of dead things (fossils) buried in rock layers, laid down by water, all over the earth.
Problem is, these fossils are dated millions of years apart, so it does not jive with the contention that there was a global flood of forty days less than 6000 years ago.
