Here's why vaccines are a good idea: Remember the bubonic plague? Gone. Polio? Gone. Yellow fever? Nowadays it's only a crude reference to a fetish. Tetanus went from hundreds of cases a year and a 30% mortality rate to around thirty. Rabies? Yeah, not going to have to take any childhood friends behind the shed anymore. Between humans and domesticated animals you can count the annual cases on one hand and the rabies vaccine can uniquely be administered post-infection. I wouldn't suggest you using the old-fashioned method on that one, but you're kind of doing it metaphorically already.
I had all the vaccinations going at school; it ensured I had the rest of the lesson time free*.
Curious how I'm still here, eh...?!
*- Just as we couldn't wait for the general/local elections, as our particular school was used as a Polling Station. A day off school! Yay!
