Explain how in 100 years of science attempting to dis-prove the existence of GOD, Christianity still grows...
For nearly two thousand years the scriptures of the Holy Bible have been disected and discredited. Yet people still believe. Like an anvil surviving many hammers. Beaten but it's heart still beating, a river of life continues to flow from it. Leaving in the disagreements between fellow believers in scripture and the decisions against the direction given, GOD seems to succeed in spite of us.

Because the people who spread religion are generally more motivated to spread their beliefs than those that wish to spread humanism, and because religion seems to offer more immediate answers to a population in difficulty.
No one wants to hear that to make their world better, they have to work hard to support each other and do their part to maintain a free flow of information and supplies even to their society's weakest people. Everyone wants an easy way out, and at a quick glance religion seems to pass the Occam's Razor test far easier than sixteen years of education and a lifetime of volunteer work on top of your regular job. Temporal mitzvot don't pay off anything near as well as eternal paradise -- or so Pascal's Wager would have you believe.
By several accounts, Christianity is declining in many parts of the world. However just because the ridiculous self grandizing sect of born agains here in the U.S. are losing their numbers more slowly doesn't mean that they are doing any less damage to the world at large. Look at attendance to these so called "Mega Chuches". Thy're having a hard time filling seats.

Because people will believe any old nonsense if it helps them come to terms with their impending extinction, perhaps?
Christianity grows?, For nearly two thousand years Christianity discredited(how nearly, by the way?)?, statistics and evidence disagree.
Science has spent the last 100 years largely ignoring the existence or not of God. Also, many scientist strongly believe in God and would not be spending their time trying to disprove him. The very people for whom doubt and scepticism are a way of life have somehow maintained their faith, so the conflict between science and God must be very small, if there is one at all.
Religion on the other hand (or rather some of its followers) seems very intent on pushing itself into the science classes and shouting "Look at my glorious new clothes!" when they, in fact, have nothing on.
Because the basic ideas of Christianity(love thy neighbor, help the poor, give comfort to the sorrowing, even a better afterlife to give the hopeless hope) are good. Unfortunately then fundies come along and fuck it up with their own selfish prejudices, hypocritical self-righteousness and petty hatreds for those different from themselves.
science has some pretty fucking important stuff to try to get right. if it reflects unfavorably on your belief system, well, so much the better afaiac. however, it isn't a goal. scientists don't really, as a rule, have much time to waste on sky fairies.
... and this is why Islam is the true religion.
Well, it would be if the reasoning made sense in the first place.
Science has never attempted to disprove the existence of God. Science deals with the physical not the metaphysical, which is why creationism is not science.
Christianity is splitting continuously to the point where ideologies range from one end of the spectrum to the other. Even the main Christian denominations are experiencing schisms over many of the issue concerning society today and will continue to split. The majority of Christians follow a mix of Christian, Secular, New Age and/or Pagan (i.e. Tarot, Zodiac) ideals. Fundamentalists will follow which ever sect supports there own bigotry and can be seen by those who will leave one sect for another because their current sect is not vocal enough on some issue (i.e. homosexuality). Your idea of a success is very low indeed.
It's a faith-based ideology, and the fact that you don' understand that is pathetic. It's one thing to willfully have blind faith and that's what people choose to do, that is their decision. It shold be respected. But one who actually tries to prove the existence of God is a fuckwit.

How? Easy: Indoctrination of children from the youngest age possible.
If you didn't do that, religion would be gone in one generation.
Try it: Consider it a "test of faith".
Mmm, no, I'd say that human stupidity and desire to be "speshul" conquers all.
AND OH MY FUCK HOW THE HELL DID YOU SPELL OPTIMIST WRONG
Because there are thousands and thousands and thousands and thousands of stupid people born every day who're told that crap is the truth from the day they say "dada".
And, last I checked anvils don't have hearts. Or is that something else that has to be taken on faith?
This just in...
"The study shows that 16- to 29-year-olds exhibit a greater degree of criticism toward Christianity than did previous generations when they were at the same stage of life. In fact, in just a decade, many of the Barna measures of the Christian image have shifted substantially downward, fueled in part by a growing sense of disengagement and disillusionment among young people. For instance, a decade ago the vast majority of Americans outside the Christian faith, including young people, felt favorably toward Christianity’s role in society. Currently, however, just 16% of non-Christians in their late teens and twenties said they have a "good impression" of Christianity.
One of the groups hit hardest by the criticism is evangelicals. Such believers have always been viewed with skepticism in the broader culture. However, those negative views are crystallizing and intensifying among young non-Christians. The new study shows that only 3% of 16 - to 29-year-old non-Christians express favorable views of evangelicals. This means that today’s young non-Christians are eight times less likely to experience positive associations toward evangelicals than were non-Christians of the Boomer generation (25%). "
Woman in Lab Coat: "Things are sure slowing down in the lab, Frank. What can we do to liven it up?"
Man in Lab Coat: "Hey, I've got a great idea. Let's disprove the existence of God."
Woman: "That really is a great idea, Frank. I'll bet we can even publish a paper."
Man: Well let's get started then. Hand me a couple of those test tubes and that greenish looking stuff. This is going to be fun!

Yep.
Just like Acupuncture.

Because it's growing in rural areas where there's not a lot of science education to be had.
There!
Only because you breed and pass on your beliefs and you're still loosing ground.
I believe no one raised without it ever becomes religious (Yes I think their lying when testomonials of being Atheist and becoming Christian are are expressed, It's a variation on the 'Born Again' horseshit)
Confused?
