Evolution is taught in every public school in America, and not without consequences, as Darwin’s Deadly Legacy documents. Columbine killers Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold killed 12 people and themselves in the worst school shooting in U.S. history. Their goal was to bring death to more than 500. Harris wrote on his website, “YOU KNOW WHAT I LOVE??? Natural SELECTION! It’s the best thing that ever happened to the Earth. Getting rid of all the stupid and weak organisms.”

Nothing, but no one said eating/cannibalism was natural selection. Death, however, is a significant component to natural selection.

With that said, the killings were a single event, and don't really work as a selection pressure. Unlike the predator/prey relationship that was used as an example, in which predation serves as a selection pressure for prey to become better at escaping the predator which consequentially creates selection pressure for the predator to become a better hunter, the Columbine massacre didn't have any real effect in the frequency of alleles, as it was a unique event (in the sense of selection), nor were specific characteristics selected in the process.

In conclusion, this is irrelevant because evolution is descriptive, not prescriptive. Evolution doesn't teach anything about moral values and actively killing off individuals of certain characteristics. That part came from the warped minds of killers. Had they been Christian, all other things being equal, they would have killed in the name of God, as Cho did.

Anyway, this is just fundies milking horrible tragedies to push their pitiful philosophy and overwhelming ignorance. Same old, same old...

let's see... we ENCOURAGE kids to ostracize, persecute and BEAT those that are in any way shape or form even remotely different. DAILY. we ignore their cries for help, and later the obvious signs of extreme stress and depression. Anything getting reported to teachers,etc is let go, usually because bullies are prized anti-intellectual cowards, one of the finest tools of the school system... and usually on a sports team which is ever-so-important.

Then when they finally can't take it anymore and snap, taking it out on all those humans that (in their eyes at least) are nothing but walking hatespewing drones that treat them like shit, well... obviously it had to be the videogames. or maybe that damned rock music. Or darwin, yes, one of them mentioned evolution once somewhere, even if it was the christian-twisted "social darwinism" rewrite/reappropriation they claim is the original crap.

Because it certainly couldn't be society. Society's not wrong. And it sure ain't religion, because, well, that's just silly, its a culture of life* and love**!

*life refering to maiming, genocide, witch hunts, inquisitions, the 'dissapearing' of those that annoy them, and a fuckload of fire

**love refering to hatred, persecution of all things not exactly of your church, anything the priest has hiding in his closet (homosexuality for example... the louder they scream... the louder the rattling they try to hide from in there), wishing death and eternal torture for things you do not agree with, even finite, minor discrepancies from a twisted, deluded, mysoginistic and supremacist moral code. QF the absolute, objective, irrefutible T! Couldn't have said it better myself. Although you have to understand, schools are much too busy with the REALLY horrendous offenses to be concerned with bullying.
