Quote# 141061

A Christian wife is commanded by God to submit to her husband as unto the Lord Jesus Christ, not only if he returns the gesture. Ephesians 5:22, “Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.” Marriage is not a 50/50 proposition; but rather, a 100/100 commitment. You're supposed to give 100% diligence and effort, even if your spouse only returns 20% (or nothing). This is God's way! This is the holy way! This is second-mile Christianity, which is almost unheard of nowadays.

As this latest impotent screed suggests, must be that certain time, methinks.

Just pay the fucking alimony & child support already, David J. Pedo.

You are forced to submit to her lawyer. Good.

In Soviet America, God submits to you.

well, the husband too, is supposed to gove 100% effort, you know?

Well, Davey, you were born too late to just go out and purchase a sex slave to bear your children.

Too bad for you.

Get over it, join at least the 18th century already.

So...why did you get married if you weren't going to put in the effort to make it work?

Kat S.

Yeah, and the Bible also gives instructions on how Christian husbands should conduct themselves and to their wives, but I don't see you making any effort in doing so.

Like Spuki said, this is why you'll die alone.

Doubting Thomas

And this is why Christianity is dying. Because women in a one-sided relationship no longer have to live under the thumb of her no-good husband, and you insisting they do is making your religion look like the anachronistic belief system it is.

In Indian Sign Language there are two ways to say 'my.'

One is a gesture made with a gripping fist. This is something you hold, possess. My bow, my knife, my steak, my shoes.

The other is the same gesture made with an open hand. This is an association, rather than a possession. My nation, my tribe, my God.

When you say 'my wife' you thought of her as a possession. This is the crux of your issues. It would be much better to have thought of her as an associate.
