I some how agree with P Benedict and the late Cardinal Francis George....that after secularism has destroyed society, the Church, as it has done in the past, will rebuild society and the family.
For now, we devout Catholics are a small minority in my part of the country. But we are strong and vibrant and provide many gifts of presence, giving, and culture to the secular community.

Churches do, here and there, do very good prosocial activities,no doubt, and these are good activities if done without strings attached.Your;after they have failed because they are not us,we will take over, fantasy is funny, right up to the point it becomes sad.

Don't count on it. Secularism is making society far better than a theocracy, and your religion is fading as a result. Once the country has embraced secularism don't think your religion is going to make a major comeback with all its silly, outdated rules and anachronistic belief system.
If you live in the United States, you've been living in a society which has been secular for over 200 years and it isn't done yet.

But society wasn't destroyed in the Middle Ages; only the Western Roman Empire was destroyed. Much of Europe remained Christian and the invading Germanic and Slavic peoples (starting with their nobility) soon adopted the ways, the religion and - in cases like the Western Franks - the language of those they replaced.
Well, Pope Francis basically said recently that if one is good, Atheists will go to Heaven.
I'm one of them; I don't have a criminal record for so much as spitting on the pavement. Romans 13:1-5, and all that jazz. I also refer you to a certain quote by Marcus Aurelius
Keep a-rattling those Rosaries, if you think that'll help, Kathy.
When did the Church ever rebuild society? Even if a Catholic king was in charge, the best the Church ever did is train a few literate people.
You probably don't provide squat to the secular community. The occasional Knights of Columbus pancake supper or fish fry doesn't count for much.
So to you, religious places like Iraq and Pakistan are much more healthy than secular places like Sweden or the Netherlands?
Devout Catholics are swiftly becoming a small minority even in Ireland, and Ireland seem so much better for it. They even voted in gender-neutral marriage laws last year!
Self-defeating slippery slope panic. Society is claimed to have been destroyed by secularism, but they must admit that they're a minority today, but society has not "been destroyed", false premise. Similar with the other false premise that "the family" is impossible except under "Christian ideology". Assuming that secularism also means the separation of church and state, it's what allows their faith as well as other faiths to be practiced, as opposed to one oppressing the others. Since faiths all falsely claim to "be the truth", it's the only sane solution and it has been successful, has not "destroyed society". "The family" is often a straw man to mean the patriarchy and women subjugation. This also means that a secular society allows the opportunity to improve the lives of half of society that could otherwise be restricted, and more, by collateral effects.
This is rather similar to fascism presenting a straw man of society and scapegoats, proposing to "restore" a threatened or lost ideal, a conspiracy to take over society, psychologically projecting the same on others.
Confused?
