Neurotic Leftist asks what it means, in 2025, to be an American. Our answer here is eternal: to be an Anglo-Saxon pioneer. Within his desired "American ethnos," Wilson made it clear that non-Christians will be second-class citizens

"Would you be comfortable with deporting people of Muslim faith in the United States knowing that its practice is fundamentally incompatible and if they have their own communities, they would ultimately never assimilate into the United States?" MacIntyre asked

"I would recognize that that's a very severe problem that we have to solve," Wilson responded. "I don't think that we can solve it by deporting them, but I would want to solve it by other means"

"This going to sound; well, I'll just say it anyway," Wilson continued. "If we continue to push for a Christian nation, I think we ought to say, 'Yes to church bells, no to minarets.' The public space belongs to Jesus. [Muslims] can't have a prayer tower calling for prayer. I don't think a Muslim should be able to hold political office"

Republican Sen. Joni Ernst faced a number of agitated constituents at a town hall on Friday who expressed concerns that the Republicans' cuts to Medicaid under their major legislative effort to advance President Donald Trump's agenda would cause people to die.

Audience members at the Butler County, Iowa, event raised concerns that proposed cuts to Medicaid under the Trump's "big, beautiful bill" being mulled in the Senate could threaten the lives of individuals who lose access to health care or food benefits, such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). As Ernst explained her position on removing those who should not qualify for Medicaid under the current law from eligibility, an audience member could be heard shouting back at her, "People are going to die"

Ernst quipped back, "Well, we all are going to die," she said.

Ernst pushed back as the audience reacted, explaining her position.

"Well, what you don't want to do is listen to me when I say that we are going to focus on those who are most vulnerable. Those who meet the eligibility requirements for Medicaid we will protect. We will protect them," Ernst continued. "Medicaid is extremely important here in the state of Iowa. If you don't want to listen, that is fine, but what I am doing is going through and telling you that those that are not eligible, those that are working and have the opportunity for benefits elsewhere, then they should receive those benefits elsewhere and leave those dollars for those that are eligible for Medicaid"

Despite President Trump announcing that June will now be Title IX month, Americans are still forced to endure an entire month in June dedicated to observing something called gay pride.

Clearly, there is still much progress to be made in restoring decency to public spaces, with my three main considerations below:

1. There is no sensible reason to set aside a whole month for any recognition. That includes Black History month, Ramadan, or Gay Pride month. Observances can be done in one day. If you want your own month, do it on your own calendar.
2. Why are gay people so anxious to want others to know their sex lives? Sex is a subject you talk about in private. No one wants to know about or gains any valuable knowledge knowing with whom you sleep. And for God’s sake stop glamorizing it around kids.
3. Pride is not a positive trait in any individual and is thus not to be encouraged or lauded. It is the main “deadly sin.” I can be proud of my children or proud of my art work or proud of my country: I don't set aside an entire month to talk about it, boring people into insensibility and splashing shop windows with material about it.
While we Christians do observe Christmas over a few weeks during the year, we don’t demand a “Christian Month.”

There is no such thing as “Jewish Month.” They don’t find a public need to talk about their “achievements and ongoing struggles.”
There is no “Heterosexual Month.” We don’t need people to know we’re normal.

There is no “Sloth Month”, no “Liars Month”, no “Drug Addicts Month.”

People who want to engage in certain behavior should never (a) inflict it on the rest of us, or (b) insist on a whole month to sprinkle the entire nation with their symbols and their interests. We don’t care, and in fact, in most cases, we find it utterly off-putting.

Dear POTUS: Please continue the fight against the radical LGBTQers. America should not be encouraging sexual behavior that requires an “HIV Long-Term Survivors Day.”.

Newsom blasted the Trump administration’s violent, heavy-handed crackdown on anti-ICE demonstrations in Los Angeles, claiming that “Democracy is in the balance.” White Christian nationalist pastor Joel Webbon agreed that it is, but declared that democracy is “wicked” and must “fall”

Webbon played a Sky News video of Gov. Newsom reacting to President Trump’s order to federalize the California National Guard in service of his authoritarian, anti-immigrant agenda, which Newsom called “illegal,” “unconstitutional,” and “immoral”

Webbon replied that he didn’t believe the order was “unconstitutional” or “immoral.” And while he acknowledged that it may very well be “illegal,” he said that “if that’s the case, it’s because California is corrupt.” But, he did say that he agreed with Gov. Newsom that democracy is “in the balance” — with one caveat

“[A]nd I just wanna agree with Gavin when he says, he’s, like, quite literally, our democracy is at stake,” Webbon said. “And what people need to realize is, that’s absolutely true. And we are rooting against democracy. Yeah. Democracy is at stake. If good prevails, democracy will fall”
