Actually, when I said that the Constitution doesn't need to be changed, I was referring to the Progressive view that the Constitution is outdated and needs to be changed in sense of being rewritten. And I could have clarified what I meant, but you prefer to hide over here and respond to my comments where I can't see them and respond because you are cowards.
As for the first amendment, I am historically correct on the matter. The Church of England was all over the 13 colonies and it was John Leland and Isaac Bacchus who came from Virginia to speak to Madison about a clause to protect freedom of religion. That doesn't mean that it only applies to Christians. But at the time, the historical context was about protecting Christian freedom. It is because of some Baptists from Virginia who had to fight for that clause to be included, that Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, etc. have religious freedom in the US.
