Theres no doubt in my mind that God would not let his word be altered in any way he did not want it to be. If Sodam and Gomorah were struck dead just 4 lying, then why can't some monk be struck dead?

Byt its very definition you cannot make a scientific theory of something that is not 100% provable.
I saw NOTHING on the other site to prove anything about the age of the earth. They saw the 'telltale signs' of the light from the earliest stars. How am I supposed to be able to prove/disprove what they are saying when I don't even understand?
It is equally plausible that the evolutionists won't acknowledge the age of the earth because they feel that doing so would contradict the Darwinian, Huxleyan and Leakian truths that they hold so dear.

The idea of theories is that they will be either proven or disproven. If they are proven repeateadly then it become a law... IE gravity was a theory once. It has since become a law. It became a law becasue they were able to prove it 100% (i would have questions if tehy didnt ).
You know what I think is sad? A few evolutionists I know say 'You expect us to believe that all 200+ kinds of dogs existing today came from 2 dogs on the ark?' when what they are saying is we came from nothing which exploded (how does nothing explode?) and became planes/solar systems/galaxies/the universe whatever!

The kind of macro evolution we are taught in schools says that we came from: *drum roll please* NOTHING!!! That nothing EXPLODED!!! (how does nothing explode?) and turning into PLANETS and the STARS!!! which got RAINED ON!!! for a few billion years!!! which turned it into PRIMORDEAL SUOP!!! which evolved in TWO CELLS!!! of DIFFERENT GENDERS!!! which FOUND EACH OTHER!!! in all that primeordal soup. Quite a trick, if you ask me... which takes more faith, Believing THAT, or believing that God created in 6 literal days, as it states in Genisis.
Ultimately, my religious views can't be wrong, because the words were breathed out by God in the original manuscripts. Your religious views however, can be wrong, because you are taking the doctrine of fallible men and trying to make them infallible (the essence of the 'theory,' not the details).
Macroevolution suggests that, over millions of years, dogs could evolve into horses. And apes (or fleas, if you believe the tabloids) could one day slowly transform into men.

I believe that miracles of other probably religious do happen, but not nessicarily because they're God ordained. Jesus said he was the only way to the Father. So, the way I see it, TRUE miracles only come from him.

And you're right, if there is no God, then there is no reason for the universe. We would be a cosmic accident and by all standards we would be insignifgant nothings. Which means we are still no better then worms, which means Hitler, Pol Pot and Sadaam Hussein have done nothing wrong.
What is it with the whole Christian/Catholic thing. Never have i been so confused as when I asked someone if they were a Christian and they replyed I'm a Catholic, I asked the same Question again and i got a blank expression from the person I asked.
The answer is that atheism is not only a belief in no God..It is an agenda, an ORGANIZED effort to kill any sign of God..In fact every year atheists ask for funding from the government...Oh ok, so then you are a religion...Why do the heathen rage? Also, our feelings and wishes do not dictate reality. Despite what we feel or think, God is real and that's a fact all of us will have to deal with one day.
Atheism even has missionaries. Those missionaries are on these boards right now!! They came into a board marked "spiritual discussion" WHY?? What are they accomplishing? What difference does it make in the long run or even the short run for that matter if we enslave men, or steal things that we need? If I need something and there is no God to punish me for anything then you can bet that I'm going to just take what I need, because I'm going to do what feels good to me at the time. Without God laws are based on feeling, what feels right to me, what feels right to you, and you have no right to tell me what is right for me, you are just another accidental animal.
Without God there is no moral code, there is no basis for what's right and wrong, and good and evil are interchangable.
One more thing that is always said by atheists is "No one has ever been killed because of atheism." I beg to differ..I believe that every death since the beginning of time was due to atheism. Even the crusades...I believe every single solitary sin, even little white lies, even by a Christian, is caused by atheism...

I just took a college class called "Music In World Cultures". Some of what we discussed dealt with how tribal and religious cultures use music in their spiritual rituals. Some work themselves into a frenzy, and eventually go into trance...or more appropriately labeled, possession.
my church currently is expieriencing problems where there is demons running amuck in the basement no one has gone and kicked them out, or they said they kicked one out, but theres more then one we thought we finished the problem, then some kid in the daycare reported seeing some sort of thing and was crying
Faith comes from within, it is what an individual person experiences with God. It can't be taken away because its conviction is so strong that any misleading scientific theories or rational observations no longer have a bearing on what they see as the truth.

How can science explain why things were created? And I don't accept other relgion's reasons for why because of problems I have with the other religions. If I don't believe what the rest of the religion says, why would I believe what it says about creation?
Didn't scientists used to believe the earth was flat because that's what the evidence suggested? That's what a "rational" scientist would have believed. My point is reason usually fails because it isn't based on exactly what you said it was, EVIDENCE!
Why do people try to use this as a way to show how "unfair" God is and how "ludicrous" Christian's are? Bible believing Christian's believe that Jesus is the only way to heaven. If mother Teresa didn't accept Jesus than she is in hell. If Gandhi, or any other devout religious or extremely moral person didn't accept Jesus than they are in hell. As a Christian, I believe in the existence of hell as revealed to me in the Holy Scriptures and by the power of the Holy Spirit. A rational person, who believes in Jesus Christ as their saviour, would also believe in His Word, thus the place of eternal torment. The Bible was not written for people like you who claim to be "rational", but for those who "believe", like me!
