The Marriage 'process' in the ACCA (not sure if the ACCN side still uses this), as I'm sure noted by everyone, seems to differ from other demoninations. I do recognize that our more 'liberal' churces... have started to integrate dating, but as an average across the board, most of our churces discourage spending much time with the person you plan to marry.
I am totally opposed to individual dating. Both individuals want to present a side of themselves that is not really genuine. Too many think they can 'carry the coals in their laps without getting burned'. It sets one up for carnal compromise. Collective 'dating' if you want to call it that is preferable. My personal opinon is that a person need not consider 'dating' in any form until one is prepared for commitment...lasting commitment. To see 15-17 year olds 'dating' is completley insane...and any age nowhere near marriage is fruitless and setting oneself up for heartache and an early path to destruction... Don't be a fool and think you can 'handle it'...as long as you are a 'son of Adam'...you WON'T...so get over yourself.
