[discussion about Pastafarianism, ed.]
Don't be fooled. Pastafarianism is Satanism in disguise. They deny Jesus and mock religion. I can't think of two things Satan would rather have us do.

There's no need to take care of the planet. We are living in the end days. Any day now, Jesus is coming back. I doubt that God could have so badly designed our beautiful planet in such a way that it wouldn't last us. Global Warming is just scientific babble designed to get our minds off Jesus.
When I hold the door for a woman, and she says thank you, I reply, "Don't thank me, ma'am. Thank my friend, Jesus. It was his idea." People like to hear that kind of thing.
Um, you did know about the Superbowl incident with Justin and Michael's sister, right? Maybe you shouldn't be such a big fan of Timberlake. What Michael did, he did behind closed doors. Timberlake, on the other hand, exposed a female breast on live Television!
I wouldn't have a problem with scientists if they just stuck to doing science. Good can actually come from these people if they keep their mouth shut about God. Let them stare at stars and keep their theories to themselves.
Sadly, I don't think a scientist is going to read this post.
Yeah, I heard atheists dont even have morals. But I wouldnt want to talk to them in person because the ones Ive met have all been really nerdy and smart and in person I wouldnt have a chance to look up the answers on the internet! haha.
Are atheists allowed on this site? I kinda thought this was supposed to be a safe place for teens to talk. But theyre gonna let the devils followers come hang out with us??
Yeah, they [scientists] think theyre so smart. Like they've got the whole world figured out. Sometimes I think the world would be better off if we ignored science altogether. Obviously they dont know what theyre talking about if they dont think God ever existed.
Given all the gaps in fossil record and gaping holes in the dying theory of evolution, itself, I think it's pretty clear that scientists should start taking Creation Science a little more seriously.
If the government gave Creation Scientists as much money as they were giving to evolution scientists, the issue would be over and done with. Creation Scientists already have the answers, all they need is the funding to verify the Bible by doing the science. Further, I would add that evolution, if taught at all, should be taught as a religion.
[Re: Hotel places Gore's global warming book in night stand instead of Bible]
Bad idea. Anytime you replace God with anything bad things happen. They'll get theirs. God won't ignore this.
I heard that mormons believed that Jesus came to america after his resurrection and that there were all these great cities in america, but there's no record of any of these cities ever being here.
Why would anyone believe something like that if there's no record of it accept for in their books? I don't get it, I dont wanna sound rude because I have mormons friends and theyre good people, but it just seems dumb to believe in something that history has no record of ever happening.
Is that like the Quigi board? My mom told me if you play that game demons can get inside you. Same with being hypnotized. When you arent in control of your mind then the devil can take over.
She never talks about drugs, but I bet the same is true for drinking and doing drugs.
I find it strange that they made you a "guardian" on this forum with the knowledge that you would subtlety persuade us to see the world from your perspective. This quote goes against the Christian God, who has revealed Himself to us through the Bible alone and revealed to us in it that men are not to use their abilities to achieve that which threatens Him (remember the Tower of Babel?). Science has rendered God unnecessary for the universe and for the existence of mankind. That is far worse than building a tower, so its hard to imagine God is approving of this.
(On how anesthetics during childbirth is a sin)
[I fail to see how it would be defying God any more than not letting your husband rule over you (I hope you wouldn't do that!) Anyways, you get Novocaine when you get dental work done don't you? How is it any different?]
Because God never said that he was going to increase the pain of dental work as punishment for disobeying Him. He did say, however, that He would increase the pain of childbirth as punishment. That's the difference.
Its like being grounded by your parents, and then sneaking out the window. This is obviously defying them by skirting their punishment.
[On Scientists]
Why should we want to know WHY they believe it? What if they have some good argument Im not smart enough to think up an argument against? It seems dangerous to listen to them.
Dont get me wrong I love this life and I think its a precious thing. Its the most precious gift God has given us. But who cares if science has made us live longer or made us more knowledgable. In the kingdom of heaven we will know all things and live forever. It seems like a total waste of time to focus on all the stuff we do in this world when we should be focusing on knowing God. Thats why we're here, not to know about history and learn math or know that the earth circles the sun. All that does is make the bible look wrong. Wouldnt we all be better off if we just accepted the answer to everything is that God did it so we can get back to living our lives for Him as He intended?
I know of Einstein's evil quotes, and as far as I'm concerned, he's a great example of a scientist. I don't want those kind of people on our side. The less "education", the better.
[What I was saying was that Einstein was not a believer in Christianity, so Christians should probably avoid using Einstein to support their religious beliefs. I'm pretty sure if I didn't say anything, Follower would try to claim Einstein for our team.]
Absolutely not. I know of Einstein's evil quotes, and as far as I'm concerned, he's a great example of a scientist. I don't want those kind of people on our side. The less "education", the better.
There is way too much emphasis on what the Bible means to me or you, personally. I don't read it to hear what I want to hear; I read it to hear what God has to say. So I'm not interested in sugar coating the truth. I am not interested in flat out ignoring verses in the Bible because I've found some personal reason to think that I should.
I've been pointing out what I see as obvious contradictions. Even if I marry one day and find the idea of submitting to another human being absolutely insufferable, that DOES NOT give me the freedom to reinterpret the Bible in some other way. It doesn't matter what I personally think God should have to say on the matter of a woman's place in the world. It only matters what God actually says about it.
When God says He created man and he became a living soul when God breathed life into him, and that He then put this man to sleep and created a woman from his rib, and then someone here goes on to say "well maybe what God really did was create man through evolution", then we have a serious problem. If you don't believe the whole Bible, you're just picking and choosing what you want to believe, making up your own religion as you go.
I wish the bible was taught in history class! Im really bad with dates and I dont think the bible really has any.
[When someone jokingly said they worshiped the sun]
Don't you find it sort of degrading to worship the sun? I mean, it's a hot rock, and you're an intelligent emotional moving living creation. Worshipping something is to set it apart as god in your life. So I don't understand how an intelligent emotional, moving living person could consider himself less than a hot rock.
Unless you can prove to me that the sun is alive and superior to man. In which case, hey, maybe I'll join you.
[After stating that being Catholic "does not make one less Christian."]
(Emphasis not in original post.)
What I meant with the Martin Luther example was that surely, one should be judged on their moral character, and not their uninformed (and since we have no original copies, anyone is uninformed) views on certain books. I'm sure we can agree that Martin Luther, who was for all intensive purposes one of the first Nazi's, was no more of a christian that John Paul II.
Don't knock the online courses. Many Creation Scientists have received their PhD's online.
