["Hitler believed in fixed kinds and that Germans were created in the highest image of God. Creationism is only a prominent belief in America among the less educated."]
Actually, Hitler strongly believed in evolution and that since in evolution some are perforce more evolved than others, equality of the races is illogical ....which squares entirely with Darwin's evolutionary ideas.
Hopefully your scientific research is more meticulous than your historical research.

Forgive me, but if evolution is a natural process, how can something -- especially within a given species -- be "more evolved" than something else.
Eugenics made the incorrect assumption that there is a pinnacle to which evolution is working. This is actually a byproduct of believing in a god that made us superior to other animals.
"Actually, Hitler strongly believed in evolution"
Hitler's Table Talk, July 25, l942:
'From where do we get the right to believe, that from the
very beginning Man was not what he is today? Looking at
Nature tells us, that in the realm of plants and animals
changes and developments happen. But nowhere inside a
kind shows such a development as the breadth of the jump,
as Man must supposedly have made, if he has
developed from an ape-like state to what he is today.'
"Hopefully your scientific research is more meticulous than your historical research."
You've shown that your historical as well as your scientific 'research' is just made up shit.
Mister Spak, you've got it all wrong. Hitler, in fundie world, is the opposite of everything they believe. So if they don't believe in evolution, then Hitler obviously did. They don't believe in abortion (except occasionally for themselves or their daughters), so Hitler must personally have performed millions of abortions. They don't like broccoli; Hitler was a vegetarian.
(In a pinch, Stalin or Mao can be substituted for Hitler and work in pretty much the same way).

Showing that you know absolutely nothing about evolution.
Actually, I wish all evolution deniers would evolve.
No. Hitler believed in devolution and a diabolical plot by Jews, Roma, Slavs, and other "inferior" peoples to genetically degrade the "pure Aryan" down to their own perceived level, which he had to prevent by killing them all.
Actualy Hitler called evolution "a lie spewed from the perverse mind of a race traitor".
Hitler believed in multiple created "races" of human, and believed that interbreeding between "races" led to degeneracy and moral decay.
This directly contadicts Darwin's idea that all humans are descended from a single population, and that interbreeding strengthens populations.
Read your Mein Kampf.
Read your Descent of Man.
Notice how they utterly dissagree.
History according to cockcounty :
Actually, Marx strongly believed in Christ and that since in christianity altruism is perforce more moral than self-interest, inequality of wealth is immoral ....which squares entirely with Jesus' social ideas.
<repeat pattern as required>
Actually, according to all evolutionary studies humans are among the most similar individuals of a species. We are comparatively inbred compared to most other species. So really there IS a racial equality and furthermore, race isn't nearly as big a deal as people have made it to be for millenia. Nobody cares what Hitler believed because he was wrong. Even if he was Charles Darwin's biggest fan ever he was still wrong. If he believed in ToE, then he garbled it completely and shouldn't be taken any more seriously on the subject than someone who thinks that Germ Theory claims that bacteria should be worshiped to prevent infection.
FOR FUCK'S SAKE
Nothing gets through to these people! Nothing! You try to reason with them, and all they do is hammer back with the same god-damn PRATTs every god-damned time. No new thought will penetrate these skulls. No idea that doesn't conform with the picture of the world already fixed in their minds is given even cursory consideration.
*We apologize for the above outburst and now return you to your regularly scheduled barbs and gibes.
I honestly think that the "hitler was atheiest/hitler was christian" argument should be dropped by both sides because it a total red herring.
Hitler, like most human beings (It may seem odd but yes he was one) had contradictory views that he reconciled through some layers of personal cognative dissonnance (like every other living person or person ever).
He was a catholic, but he eventaully stopping liking catholic ritual. He thought that the occult turned germans away from God, but then decided that pretty much every occult thing ever was awesome and spent redicoulous rescoures to procure even known frauds.
On evolution its pretty clear that hitler felt that evolutionary theory as presented by scientists was garbage that implied that germans were not superior to other people. However he did believe in various evolutionary and sociological quakeries such people who are poor or sick or ill or not german are inferior by birth and breeding with them would make inferior people. These ideas might be called a form of social darwinism. That is a term that is itself a misgnomer as it has nothing to do with any kind of science (even social science) is a crude justificaiton for excercising power and brutallity over the powerless.
So serioiusly, hitler was a christian in the same way the westboro baptist church is christians at best and equally while he didn't actually believe or understand evolutionary theory he did believe in every sick pervision of that and other kinds of science that anybody had ever developed.
arguing about hitler's religious and scientific beliefs is liking judging the beatles musical worht on how many charles mansons they created.
Um, no. Hitler believed that "Aryans" (actually, blonde-haired, blue-eyed white people, not Aryans [Hitler was too stupid to know that his precious Aryans weren't even white]) were created by God and were superior to everyone else.
Evolution says that race mixing = good, and inbreeding = bad.
This is contrary to Hitler's beliefs, which are the opposite (race mixing = bad, and inbreeding = good).
No, Hitler believed in Social Darwinism. Or perhaps, cookcounty, you believe that Social Democracy is the same as Democracy.
If 'Hitler strongly believed in evolution' I wonder why Darwin's books were in Section 6 of his schedule of 'Books to be burnt'?
'6. Schriften weltanschaulichen und lebenskundlichen Charakters, deren Inhalt die falsche naturwissenschaftliche Aufklärung eines primitiven Darwinismus und Monismus ist (Häckel). (Guidelines from Die Bücherei 2:6 (1935)'
In English,
'6. Writings of a philosophical and social nature whose content deals with the false scientific enlightenment of primitive Darwinism and Monism (Häckel).'
It figures that a fantasy scientist, otherwise known as a creationist, would pontificate about fantasy history and fantasy Hitler.
Creationists, alive and well in Fantasyland.
"Actually, Hitler strongly believed in evolution and that since in evolution some are perforce more evolved than others, equality of the races is illogical ....which squares entirely with Darwin's evolutionary ideas."
In that case...:

...why was one of the books burned in Hitler's Third Reich, "On the Origin of Species" by Charles Darwin?
"Hopefully your scientific research is more meticulous than your historical research."
Well, at least - like said Historians & Scientists - we Atheists have actually done research. Which involves reading - instead of burning - books .
...ah, but for the likes of you, cockcunty:

Species can outcompete each other for vital resources, that is true. But since homo sapiens is all one species, the point is moot.
Nobody cares who said what when. Science cares only about verifiable results, and the ToE provides them.

Darwin's books were banned so nobody could fact-check the BS Hitler made up on the fly to try and justify his demented views. He pushed a 'moral, Christian world' and used everything from psuedo-science, to Biblical passages, to distorted myths, to raving occult lunacy, to try and hook as many people as possible.
You sir, fail.
Funny, this is the second post with the Führer Schickelgrübber and evolution in the same month... Also, @Fifth Dentist, Hitler DID believe in abortion. He believed it was so horrifying no human (i.e. Aryan) being should be able to go through it, then made Jews abort babies (remember Jews were not humans in his eyes).
Confused?
