I am finding that I have such a low tolerance for suffering now. I am so anxious to be gone from here. It's like a dull ache in my heart. My body literally hurts because we're all still here. What is so discouraging is, we've all thought that we would go at other times in the past. Everything looked so "perfect". I understand that never before in history has EVERYTHING been like this, it's just, I fear I may be let down again. I really need some encouragement. Oh, I pray, pray, pray that the Lord comes in the next month or two. Honestly, can our hearts take waiting as anxiously as we do for Him? He knows this. Why would He give us such clear signs, then not show up? We'll die of heartattacks or hypertension if we keep going on like this. I know I will. He must be coming this year. This is the season. I truly believe it. But I'm fearful that I could be wrong, again.

We need a suicide hotline set up for these people.
The earlier part of the quote is ridiculous:
I found out that my brother and sister-in-law are actually considering leaving their 4 precious children and getting deployed together in God forsaken Iraq. My brother has been in the army for 10 years and has served in Iraq 3 times! Apparently, his children having a part time dad living in a dangerous part of the world isn't enough, they must have their mom gone too, so, she joined the army last year to "be all she could be". Now, if this insanity actually becomes reality, my mom and dad, who are currently working in Iraq themselves with a contracting company, will be raising their children when they move back home in February. All this mess just wants me to be out of this world all the more. If the rapture doesn't happen this year, I have to admit, I will be at a loss.
So long as fundies are far enough away that they're not pestering me personally, I can feel sorry for them. This post, like so many other on RR, screams "My life sucks and I'm too timid/dumb/beaten down/overworked/weak to improve it myself, so I'll cling to hope for a deus ex machina to keep from breaking down and losing it." Sad.
I feel so sorry for these people. Depression hurts, and it can't make it any easier being sucked into crazy-ass stuff like they are- in fact, I can only see it making it worse. I really wish they would seek help, I think they would be so much happier if they did.
Honestly, can our hearts take waiting as anxiously as we do for Him?
We've been hearing he's coming "any day now" since 85 AD.
Try Paxil. It's more likely to solve your problem than Jesus' arrival.
One minute you people say you want us to be treated as Jesus was so we can feel bad about your fairy tales, and then you post about not being able to suffer any longer?
I fear I may be let down again.
LOL LOL LOL ROFL
We'll die of heartattacks or hypertension if we keep going on like this. I know I will.
Are you trying to mask your gluttony with stress? LOL!
Good, you deserve to feel the way you feel. I lack any ounce of sympathy or pity for you people, and I would be completely indifferent in knowing that you will spend the rest of your life like feeling as you do now.
Yeah, it is pretty damned ridiculous and negelectful for both parents to go into the Army and leave their children behind. It's no wonder these people are wishing so hard for someone to come and save them, they have so much stress in their lives and don't know how to deal with it.
I can only imagine what it must be like to hate your life so much that you base all of your hopes and dreams on the belief that you're going to be taken from it all at once.
What a sad existence these people live. So hopeless and afraid.
"Why would He give us such clear signs, then not show up? "
Because they aren't signs, and he doesn't exist.
"He must be coming this year. This is the season. I truly believe it."
OK. You contend the rapture will be this year. I contand that the rapture won't happen this year. I'll bet everything I own against everything you own. Put your money where your mouth is, OJS.
"But I'm fearful that I could be wrong, again."
Then STFU about it, OK?
What's worse is you know they will never listen to reason...they will never abandon their complete, fanatical, undying love for a God that exists only in their own minds until they die. They are slaves to their own imaginary creations...I pity them.
I've said this before, but they sound exactly like a suicidal person does in the weeks leading up to the date they've set to finally off themselves. I actually feel bad for these people, as their desire to be 'raptured' is pretty much a manifestation of the same depression and/or mental illness that causes people to kill themselves. On one hand, I guess their religion keeps them from killing themselves... on the other, their religion is also what is preventing them from seeking the help they need. The ridiculous conservation crap they say pisses me off, but I do feel genuinely sorry for them too. I don't know whether to slap these people or give them a hug...
This, honestly, made me feel sad for this fundie.
And I never felt this way about any fundie, ever.
Oh, I pray, pray, pray that the Lord comes in the next month or two.
On a side note, didn't the "Lord" via bible say that if you pray to him, "so it shall be yours?" Well, in Matthew 17:20:
"For truly, I say to you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you."
Thus, she's praying for the end of the world, don't you think that it would have happened by now?

Don't feel too bad for her, she'll be condemning a murdered unbeliever or some gay people to hell three posts from this one. These people might not feel so miserable if they didn't see everyone else as human filth who isn't fit to breath their god's air, filth that they have to "be saved" from.
It's like a little kid desperately hoping Santa will show up and give them everything they want at Christmas time. Only sadder...
Most of the people over there should see a real therapist. But, of course, they'd never do that.
This is a depressed, probably suicidal person looking for help from other depressed, suicidal people. I don't wish this type of miserable existence on anyone, fundie or not.
Clinical Symptoms of Depression. Damn I wish they didn't ban everyone over there that didn't believe their shit.
I'd even clean up my language for them.
As far as Iraq, I saw a commercial yesterday saying that the government was offering you $40,000 for signing up. Of course you don't get it until their done with you, if you survive. The grandparents have taken private jobs over there. It sounds like these people are financially strapped and hoping that the money from going over there will be enough to set themselves up decently. Gambling their lives for future hope for their children.
Going through life in misery, yet clinging to a fairytale in the hopes of being carried off to Neverneverland, and condemning everyone who lives in the real world. Hopelessly pathetic doesn't even begin to cover it.
Confused?
