Certainly adultery should be made a criminal offence, possibly punishable by death, at the instigation of the husband.

I wholeheartedly sympathize with the anti-adultery stance of this post (except that the word "husband" should have been replaced with the word "spouse" -- his use of the specific gender term indicates an obviously one-sided view).
What about at the instigation of the wife?
No-one actually dies when their loved one have sex with someone else; it just feels like you've died and gone to hell. So, "punishable by death" seems a tad excessive...
My wife and I have an agreement.
If not, she divorces me. Which would be like an execution. Just more paperwork.
I gotta think Old Man has used the phrase ‘Divorce rape’ more than a few times. Wants to have the morally impregnable position to cut her off completely.
