Hey Praetyre, doesn't 'human rights' include NOT forcing someone to accept another culture? I seem to think that making everyone take on the culture of white Anglos, even though this country is not and never has been strictly white Anglo, is racism and completely lacking human rights.
And don't bother trying to give me any shit about not meaning that, either. Literally every single person I've encountered bitching about 'multiculturalism' wants the standard culture to be that of western European white people. I have yet to see an exception to this.

Perhaps Native Americans felt about the same way about your ancestors speaking your language(s) when they came over on their boats. Oh nevermind, I forgot, many of us welcomed you when you first got here. How quickly the descendents of immigrants forget, and decide that they are the REAL AMERICANS(TM).
Also, to Praetyre and xander07 and all the others like you: please tell me, exactly what IS American culture? What is this one single acceptable culture? America is a nation if immigrants, and the phrase 'American culture' means something different to each American. That is because we are all so diverse and come from such diverse backgrounds.
And please tell me: who the hell are you to decide that, among the many cultures that have been brought to America, that one is 'better' or more 'American'? For that matter, who the hell are you to decide what language everyone 'has' to speak? English is not native to this country, and if you're going to bitch about Spanish then you ought to realise that Spanish-speaking people have lived over here for centuries too. Why is English the only acceptable language?

If so, then you're a racist and a fuckwad. You're no more or less American than any of the rest of us, whether our ancestors were here a thousband years ago or just got off the boat. You can't decide for everyone what constitutes 'American culture' because THERE IS NO single definition of 'American culture'.
