Let me explain something to you as apparently you are mentally disabled and do not understand things. This country was built by Christian men, not a bunch of liberal gays, atheists, or rag heads. If you don't like this country you are free to move at any time for the moment. But you better hurry, you idiots are tearing down the freedoms at a very fast pace.

Let me explain something to you. The US Constitution doesn't give a shit about who built the country, but freedoms are guaranteed for ALL. That includes those liberal gays, atheists, and "rag heads." It guarantees rights even those aliens who entered our country illegally.
If this fact ever managed to penetrate Watson's thick skull, I'm sure his head would eventually explode.
In this country, we have the freedom to worship any religion we want, or none at all. Abortion is legal in all 50 states. A black man is president. The country is slowly becoming more liberal. If you don't like this, YOU can move to another country.
To Watson, I say this:
Let me explain something to you as apparently you are mentally disabled and do not understand things. This country was built by Progressive men, believers in The Enlightenment , a bunch of Deists, Agnostics, nominal Christians & Freemasons. If you don't like this country you are free to move at any time...like to Iran or Uganda, for example. But you better hurry, you idiots are being torn down into total irrelevance & you will be the biggest laughingstocks ever!
I love twisting idiot's words!
Let me explain something to you as apparently you are mentally disabled and do not understand things .
Oh the irony...
This country was built by Christian men,
History fail.
not a bunch of liberal gays, atheists, or rag heads
The US Constitution guarantees the same freedoms for them too.
If you don't like this country you are free to move at any time for the moment.
Need help packing?
But you better hurry, you idiots are tearing down the freedoms at a very fast pace.
Oh, Mirror...Mirror
Okay, let's assume that what you say is 100% true. What kind of threat is " But you better hurry, you idiots are tearing down the freedoms at a very fast pace."? That's like trying to persuade a mugger to not take your wallet by saying "But you'd better not take it because I have hundreds of dollars and three paid off credit cards in there!". I love it when fundies can't even follow their own logic right.
Let me explain something to you as apparently you are mentally disabled and do not understand things. This country was built by members of just about every group you can think of. Founded by Christains, but also deists, agnostics and atheists. Because of the culture of their times, we can't know if some of them weren't closeted gays.
P.S. You seem to be the unhappy one. Why don't YOU move?
You would think by now some of these fundies would get this...
U.S. Constitution: Amendment 1
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or
prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or
of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition
the Government for a redress of grievances.
Treaty Of Tripoli: Article 11
Art. 11. As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquility, of Mussulmen; and, as the said States never entered into any war, or act of hostility against any Mahometan nation, it is declared by the parties, that no pretext arising from religious opinions, shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries.
Uh, no. It was built by a bunch of very non-Christian liberal men and a few non-fundie Christians. The conservatives back then were the Loyalists who wanted to stay part of the British Empire.
And the Sultan of Morocco (one of those "rag heads") was the very first ruler to recognize the US as an independent government. The US still has strong diplomatic ties to the country.
"This country was built by Christian men,..."
- Does that include the Anglicans, the Unitarians, the Catholics and all the other members of denominations that your lot doesn't consider "true" Christians?
Does that include the Baptists and Congregationalists who successfully argued for the USA to be a truly secular state, in accordance with their denomination's teachings?
Is all of this this news to you? If so, maybe you shouldn't go around calling other people "mentally disabled."
Tearing down freedoms, eh? Yeah, they're just destroying freedoms all over the place; removing the freedom to marry people of the opposite sex but not the same; the freedom to practice Baptist fundie Christianity but no other religions; the freedom to carry children conceived of rape or incest to term regardless of your own health; the freedom to hide your sexuality so you can keep a job; the freedom to learn bronze age mythology instead of science in schools.
It seems you think they've already torn down the freedoms to peacefully assemble and petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
It appears you're mistaken though, so luckily they can stay and keep tearing down those "freedoms" you love.
Point one: obviously you don't understand history. and even if it were true that christians built it, it is changingget over it.
Point two: it's amazing how voting FOR more freedom is exactly the same as having LESS freedom.
Wait, this country was built by people those christian men had violently enslaved while the people who actually had a basic education (e.g. founding fathers) were almost all non-christians. Hmm, I think someone has been drinking the Fox News koolaid!
We're losing freedoms?
You mean like, the "freedom" to have men try to tell me I have to be an incubator against my will? Even of a rapist's baby?
Or gays are losing the freedom to be told they can't marry like stright people can?
Sorry, but that doesn't make much sense. It doesn't sound like the liberals are the ones trying to take away freedom, does it?
@Wehpudicabok:
Except that Iran has had legislation requiring that effective contraceptives be made available to everyone free of charge for a long time. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Family_planning_in_Iran
In the late 1980's and early 1990's, the ayatollahs were persuaded that further increases in the Iranian population were not sustainable while simultaneously preserving an acceptable standard of living. So for the last 20 years, Iran has had very good family planning services.
The predictable side effect of women becoming better educated and more empowered is the opposite of what the Iranian power structure wants, and contributes to recent calls for women to have more children - apparently, the demographic transition is seen as a threat.
If I wrote a book entitled Left Behind, it wouldn't be Christian Fiction based on a very flawed interpretation of Revelation, it would be a non-fiction political analysis of the conservative Tea-Party movement and it's future.
“ This country was built by Christian men, not a bunch of liberal gays, atheists, or rag heads.”
Actually, the idea of self-rule rather than a monarch is pretty liberal. No one was doing it at the time.
And the Founding Fathers were deists AT BEST. Read Jefferson’s version of the Bible some time. Took out all the woo. And Washington went to church but according to his pastor never took sacrament.
And ‘built by’ ignores the big effort to import non-white men and woman to do the heavy lifting. Can’t discount the slaves and laborers in the construction of the country.
"If you don't like this country you are free to move at any time for the moment.”
Have to note that there’s an ammandment process exactly because they expected the country to be changed in the future. It’s our country, too,
“But you better hurry, you idiots are tearing down the freedoms at a very fast pace.”
Pretty sure you’re upset because you’re losing privileges, not rights. Privilege you think God ordained because your mighty penis is white.
Confused?
